Always found it odd that Macca would have taped it, but I was just watching his 1991 MTV Unplugged on YT and he talks about recording concerts he goes to (had just taped a Stevie Wonder concert) so he doesn't have a problem with people doing that...then he goes on to say that a year before a guy with a whole DAT ("You know the stuff that lets you record great stuff") setup had gotten kicked out. Different times !

I "know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy!" behind the 1989 "Dead Man Cumming" boxset. They were supposed to get one of the rehearsal videos instead of just the dat audio copies of both. The guy started balking and only provided them with a 45 min segment of the LA show. He said there was a one camera shot video of the Stu Club 100 gig which was shown to them but the source wanted way too much money. I've never had any reason to doubt what I was told. They also told me about a huge amount of 81 video sbs that existed(although honestly I was at the 81 Dallas show and don't remember the scoreboard screen showing anything) and then they started coming out in droves. When I suggested this on a thread about those awhile back I was promptly informed by some I was "full of it". Later the "89 Rehearsal snippet video"(which I had seen years ago) appeared on youtube. It has since been removed. Anyway, just my contribution to the conversation.

Paul's cousin lives in Church Stretton and she sees him fairly regularly at family events etc. I've tried my damnedest to get her to ask him about it!
