If you are a Stones fan, you would already have at least one version of this show that’s been circulating. We have previously shared two versions of this show. Here is the fan-made 2015 Deluxe Edition.

In 1969 bootleg recordings of both Bob Dylan and The Beatles hit the market but when the Rolling Stones toured the US in the fall of that year for the first time in three years, it opened a whole new can of worms with live recordings. Gone were the days of endless screaming of teenage girls that was so loud that they couldn’t hear themselves play.

It was a new era with better amps and sound with crowds who came to listen to the music. Live’r Than You’ll Ever Be was one of the first bootlegs to capture this change. Recorded in Oakland, California on November 9, 1969, both shows were recorded that night but the second show was used due to technical problems during the first. the sound quality is great for time period. good enough to fool some into thinking it was an official release.

Rolling Stone magazine even reviewed it. Some say that ”Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out” was released because of it. Well, in this Deluxe Edition you get both shows plus a bonus disc of an incomplete soundboard Bill Graham’s people made and was played on KSAN FM during the 1972 tour. And some bonus tracks recorded through out the tour. All editing and artwork done by me as well. I’ve spent a long time working on this project and I think you’ll enjoy it . One more thing - the soundboard recordings are primitive but sound good. Just don’t expect them to sound like an official recording.
