Yes, 16 bit 44.1 Khz should be fine for these live recordings. Actually I downsampled the Dusseldorf recording from 24 to 16 bit and the size went down from 1.4Gb to 800Mb! It's uploading to Mega as I type this.

Maybe rskinno will do a remaster of this rome recording with split/16/44 ?

Yes please, sample JJF sounds very good. I'm still working with 16 bits, my old computer won't work with 24bits @48.0 KHz I'm afraid
