1967-04-02 Vienna [2nd Show] - Cleanup and 2 Source Merge

The Rolling Stones
1967-04-02 Vienna [2nd show]
Funkydrummer Cleanup and Merge

FLAC > Adobe Audition 3 - NR, EQ, Comp, Merge > FLAC

Intro
The Last Time
Paint It Black
19th Nervous Breakdown
Lady Jane
Get Off Of My Cloud-Yesterday's Papers [Medley]
Ruby Tuesday
Let's Spend The Night Together
Goin' Home
Satisfaction

Other than Paris which circulates with voiceovers, there remaining AUD tapes of Europe '67 are all pretty poor. Vienna is no exception, and both sources are pretty rough. Have attempted to give them a clean, and then a merge to try and make the best stereo merge of both.
Still not great, but perhaps more listenable than either single source.
[Check against the source to hear what I had to work with]
The Intro is mainly only 1 source - then both sources kick in.
The better of the two tapes cuts out during Goin' Home - so unfortunately the jam section and Satisfaction are only the one very rough source.

Anyway, it is a pretty wild concert - I wish I knew German so I could hear what announcer and audience are saying...

BTW - if anyone has Zurich 1967 could they upload? This is the only 66-67 show that is available that I am missing. I have all the other 66-67 shows cleaned up and I am happy to share - but if someone could help out with Zurich that would be great.

HAHA - thanks for your upload but even if you could understand the German language you'd have a hard time - you have to be born in Vienna to truly enjoy "I gib da a Watschn du freche Nosn" >grinning smiley<

The complete source was taped by my brother in law and I'm curious what you did with the two sources!

Thanks for sharing your work here funkydrummer! Looking forward to listening it!

I tried to download it twice and both times the download finished at 18,9 MB.
Is anybody that did it successfully upload this Vienna's work to another server please. TIA

Well I am very grateful to your brother in law! Yes I suspect that the local argot is beyond me...

Well in the meantime looks like the problem has been sorted - not sure what happened?

Hi Vancouver

I am happy to tell you how I did it - I time stretched the two sources by trial and error in Adobe Audition multitrack. I usually timestretch to right speed one track first for reference, then try and lock the other one in - sometimes by slicing/selecting a bit of one track at a time...lock it in...next bit...
I have tried various methods over the years, but this is the way I have become used to.
