Last Show Sources & Matrix
Posted by: Captainchaos ()

Hi

I used to have an amazin quality Matrix of Led Zep's O2.

Think it was put together & edited from all the dif source recordings available & took into account in the panning/mixing where they had all been recorded at the gig.

Has anyone done a Matrix combining the PPV Audio/Audience/Soundboard recordings like the above? I'd love to hear this!! some of the audience clips on youtube sound alot fuller & Gtr heavy, compared to the PPV which sounds a High Bass/Drums, Low Gtr's mix.

Out of interest, does anyone one know how many dif original recordings have been circulated (not counting dif mixes/EQ's of the same source - just the actual original source untouched/unmixed) I'd love to know how many original recordings of the gig there currently are in circulation.

I'll admit I don't have the skills to do this as well as it could be but It'd be amazing to hear a Matrix of the Last Show!!

Sources circulating (the ones shared...thanks to all the tapers)
Led Zeppelin Matrix worked cause all were AUDIENCE RECORDINGS...I do not know if a matrix of existing Stones recording will work....
In my opinion, best aud souurce is DPA, but I am enjoying all of them,
Thanks

Flac, transfer origin unknown but great sound

Source#2
2012-12-15 Rolling Stones Prudential Center Newark, NJ AUD [mrsaureus] DPA-4060 +PCM-M10
Lineage: Stealth recorded and minimally produced by mrsaureus, sitting in Section 10, Row 14, Seat 15, which means about halfway back from the lip of the stage to the back wall of the floor, and about half way up the first bank of seats off the floor, on the right side of the stage. Good sightlines and good sound. Core-Sound High End Binaurals (DPA-4060 capsules) to Sony PCM-M10 (48 kHZ, 24 bit), WavePad Sound Editor to provide modest global amplification, cut into songs and SoundForge to convert to 24 bit/ 48 kHz FLACs. If people want it, I can share a 16/44.1 version. This is an audience recording that aims to document the experience of being in the crowd at the show, and features occasionally loud but appropriate crowd noise. This is the first time this recording is being shared.

I have one from dime:

The ROLLING STONES
- November 25, 2012 -
O2 Arena, London, England
-- "...the best sounding" FIXED & FULLY SBE's ALIGNED
"Strettonbull's" remaster (16bit/44.1kHz) of Bol's
raw & lossy MiniDisc recording --
"50 & Counting Opening Night" w/ sample & covers

and as well for the second gig:

The ROLLING STONES
- November 29, 2012 -
O2 Arena, London, England
-- FIXED & FULLY SBE's ALIGNED "Strettonbull's"
remaster (16bit/44.1kHz) of (the ONLY SURFACED,
SO FAR) Bol's raw & lossy MiniDisc recording --
the next "50 & Counting" w/ sample & covers

eye popping smiley

My apologies! I did not realize Bol taped both shows. Lucky him!

"We are sick of Captain Chaos. We are so sick of him we can throwup! And we want no more! You here me Victor? No more!"

This quote isn't going to make sense to anyone who hasn't seen the movie Cannonball Run with Burt Reynolds & Dom DeLuise spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Danke falo.

So, if you were going to make a matrix you won-t use those 2 audience sources...

I couldn't download them from TTD and was just curious about those "new" sources, that's the nature of my request here.

nnyyyeessss

Thanks everyone for getting on this everybody, looks like its a hot potato at the mo, just need someone to spread some butter on & see how she tastes!

I'm just after original unmixed sources really, not much point in doing a Matrxi we're remixing/editing a source with others that has already been remixed to sound better on it's own

excited
