Hi all freeusers of 'Filefactory'.......I've recently started getting this message when I try and download anything....Download with FileFactory's download manager

.is it just me or everyone else too?..........

Everytime I run the download manager I get a warning off my Avast anti-virus.....I went ahead anyway........but then tonight my anti-virus stopped functioning and in the end I had to uninstall it and re-install a new copy..........as I say...............is everyone else having to use this Download manager?........Coincidence? or is something up with this Download manager thing?....

I saw the same. You just need to "untick" (on the left side I think) [download with File Factory Download Manager], then you normal rar-files. If you do not "untick" (not sure it's the right word) it, then you'll download a rar.exe-file, and I really don't know how it works.

Hi Herve, OK I'll check that out, although the last time I looked I couldn't see a box to untick it.......

No, I just checked again, I can't see any box to 'untick' the Download manager..........hmmmmm................

Well, I just did it again a few minutes ago.
I'm a non-premium user, so I've to click a first time and to wait for 29 or 59 seconds (it depends). Then, I got a new page. Down in the bottom on the left side, it's written (if I remember right) "start download now". Just above is the box you've got to untick.
Hope it'll work for you too.

Hi Herve, thanks for your help but no, I've got everything the same as you up to the point of "start download now" but above, instead of a box, I just have the words 'Download with FileFactory's download manager' and they are inert, ie. when I put the cursor over them nothing happens......frustrating........thanks a lot though, Eddie......

hi Chris, Herve and yourself have mentioned that 'tick box' before (and where it's placed on the page)....my problem is that I don't get presented with one, my page looks exactly as you have posted but without the tick box..............?

I even tried turning off my 'popup blocker' temporarily in case Internet explorer was regarding it as one.....

Hmmm, maybe I'll try just 'unticking' the space where it's supposed to be next time, see if that works.............nope.....

Internet explorer 8 and I've also got Google chrome installed...(a mate likes U2 and the U2 site only likes Google Chrome...........

weirdly on the last D/L my anti virus stopped objecting.........

i shall try GC on the next one.........

I use Firefox and haven't had the problems that you have had. I've also got IE10 and that is OK too.

I guess it's a question of using different browsers until you find one that works for you.

Glad you've got it working now though!

I use Chrome and have not experienced any problems.

I myself had the same problems and downloaded 2 extra times.
The final download took longer than expected and left the download running while going to bed. Must still unzip.

edit;
Actualy it was rather simple.
After zipping part 1 Winrar asked for part 2.
In winrar you can use a browser button,
point at part 2, and that is all, at least in my computer.

These were My first uploads to this site. Sorry to hear everybody is having problems with these boots but I have had problems for a couple of months downloading from this site too. Just about everything I get is corrupt and must download multiple times. The DVD Through The Past Darkly 70's and 80's I downloaded 5 times now and still no good. I don't know if I have malware, spyware, adware, or shitware on my PC. I'll figure it out.
