Check 2 things :

1) all the files must be complete. Sometimes the download stops before the end,you think it's finished but i's not,and then you have an error. Check the size of your files,especially the last one.

2) All the files must be written in the same way.Sometimes you have a "." instead of a "-" or "_" and then you can't unzip. In this case, re-write the files and it works.

Hi, Thanks, I see this in the spreadsheet as well.

The one time the words are separated by a blanc and the other time by an underscore.

Also sometimes Filefactory as you say cuts of the download.
This also hapens to uploads.
My PC is running 24/7 and the last two days I only could finish 5 uploads while on other days I can upload at least 20 a day.

Hate to tell that re-ups can be done but might take ages.

for example...i dloaded this file 14 times(1999.06.08 Morph 11 Don't Bust The Crust -part 1),and it was broken at 162 mb,half an hour ago it was broken at 16 mb...size is 293 mb...
what i'm trying to say is that's a bad file
beacuse i can't dload it...i tried on my pc at work,on my pc at home,at pc at my frined,at pc at my friend's work...nothing...and what else can i do than report as bad file

When extracting The White Master Box DVD 2 i get error can't open as archive.

I suspect it could be due to a size of file .005 because all others are 512,000 kBS and file .005 is only 442,000 KBS.

Can someone confirm this to me by letting me know the size of .005 from The White Master Box DVD 2.

Strangely the .005 file after downloading it twice i had the same error but i also noticed that if i click to download the file in question i get the message from filefactory that all free download slots are in use but if i try for example the other files from this dvd it can be downloaded.

So this makes it a sure thing that the file .005 is bad.

The file is OK because I've downloaded it. And the fact that it breaks at different points would suggest that it's a problem with the server.

As a premium user of FileFactory I can resume broken downloads, but I've noticed the same thing, that sometimes just one file from a set can be a problem and keeps stopping.

I think it's probably because, although all the files appear to be in the same place, they are actually spread over several servers. If one server is particularly busy, it keeps dropping connections trying to cope. This isn't a problem if you can resume the download but is a major problem if you can't.

I've found over the years (because this has always happened) that coming back to that file after a few days or so the problem can often have cleared.

I use the Firefox addon "Downthemall" and I've found if a file stalls, you can usually pause it for a few seconds and then re-start it and it makes a fresh contact with the server and resumes the download.

Many thanks for all your uploads. Is there any possibility that you repost VGP 251 Drinking and Dancing? Unfortunately I'm having problems unpacking the .rar parts. I managed to get all tracks but there is no way to get CD2 Track 4 as it's in the split between part1.rar and part2.rar.

The parts of a rar file make a set.
If they are all in the same folder and are named the same except for the 'part1' 'part2' etc then extracting part1 should unpack the whole set.
What are you using to unpack them?

Thanks for the answer. I know how to unpack them. I use Better Zip for the unpacking process. If I double click part1 it shows me the whole set of the archive but it says there is a problem with part2.

If anybody wants to help, than please first look in the list by publisher/label (see footnote) to check what has been done already.
secondly, please use this format
yyyy.mm.dd (using dots) followed by publisher, tiutle and venue.
This is how it is stored and sorted in Stonesvault.
Keep filesize to max 500MB
