The latest release from Tarantura, Songs for Europe, claims to be the evening show from Gothenburg 10/6/73. I knew the afternoon show existed but had never heard of this. Anyone familiar with it?

The evening show do exist, but the persons in Sweden who has it, are hoarding it, and don't want to share.

So either one of them guys decided to earn a couple of free Tarantura's by sending them a copy, OR (most probably) this Tarantura release feature the well-known so-called "1st show" that day.
Nobody knows which show is which, anyway....maybe Tarantura took a guess

And since the Tarantura release feature Heartbreaker, I would bet it's the recording we're familiar with since it's not likely they Heartbreaker at both them shows. But...we'll see

Sounds interesting but as Erik said (hi Erik) the chances of seeing unreleased material on this CD is imho close to zero...

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured.

Or the Goteborg 73 that is in circulation is....the evening show.

I'm gonna re-listen to the Gothenburg show I have(on silver as You Can't Say We're Satisfied) tonight after work but, if I recall correctly, that is a really poor recording, is it not? That's the one thing that gives me hope here:why would Tarantura release such a lo-fi tape? Unless they have an upgrade or....they really do have an uncirculated show. Seems an odd choice otherwise.

THere's a torrent of Gothenburg, coming from a better source than the bootleg you mention there. It's fair-good sounding, instead of just "poor".

Just to clarify, Andreas, Exile-013 is the title You Can't Say We're Satisfied and it doesn't claim to be the 2nd show, it says it's the first show. It's the one that also includes two Billy Preston numbers.

Erik, thanks for mentioning the other source for the existing Gothenburg show, I didn't know about that. If it's a better source, that would make more sense if they were releasing that.

On a mostly unrelated note, I'm still surprised no one has released either source of the Bern 9/26 show that surfaced a while back. When I saw the headline on CMR yesterday for the title Songs from Europe, I thought that might be what they were doing.

Hi Andreas, everything you mention there is from the same show.
Whether it's the 1st or the 2nd show....who knows...

The "other" Gothenburg show is not circulating, allthough it exists.

The recording I mention as being an upgrade is probably the same as the one you have as "new source" .....just a guess.

Tarantura's "Songs For Europe" is copied from the torrent file.
So, it's better but same as "YOU CAN'T SAY WE'RE SATISFIED"EXCD-013.
I don't know this is from 1st show or 2nd show, but this is not the "never before pressed".

It probably a downgrade from the torrent as well, since Tarantura are not good at EQing (in my opinion, anyway), unlike Rattlesnake and Dandelion.
