Thanks again coowouters!

I think the recorder picked up some computer noise. Check out the first and last song. Or is these pings in the BBC broadcast?

But still a decent sounding show from the BBC.

Best,
EG

You're right, I was checking (and deleting) my mail while recording and the PC sounds were included in the recording. I re-recorded the broadcast and put up the new download link

Sorry.......

Unfortunately this recording is one more time (as also your Leeds & Europe 73 recordings) totally failed and unlistenable because it is overloaded and clipped "to the max"! Please reduce the recording level drastically next time!

Excerpt from your recording:

How it should be (example):

I'm listening to Wembley right now and no problem at all. (Final Media player, VLC PLayer, ITunes, Windows media player; all very listenable, same with the CD I especially burned to listen...)

Hint: go to the BBC 6 Website and download them yourself, transform to Wav, then to Flac and upload them to a free torrent or file hosting site and post the link here.

I just wonder why nobody else is complaining; if others would, I would know that something fundamental is wrong with my streaming audio catcher (settings or whatever).
Of course, when I put my speakers at 100% , it becomes unlistenable for me too cool smiley

Chris, midnrambler is right. There should be an input level you can vary. the MAX level of the recording should be BELOW the clip line of the recorder. Otherwise, clipping occurs, and is sounds bad.

It is better for it to be too low than too high. You can then normalize it without affecting sound quality. It is a very easy thing to do to ensure the best sound.

Thanks for your efforts.

Is this any better?
It's the only setting I can change:

2 minutes (in wav)

Wetransfer

Great :-)
I've been playing around all day with the media catcher (changing sample rate, Freq, and so on), but this one was just the volume slider that I put at maybe 1/5. Don't get it....
(you can see the slider over the red cicle in the picture, it's a screenshot I used before to explain something else, so just don't mind the red circle).

I will record the Wembley concert again with those settings and post them here. PLease let me know if that one is OK.
(and forgive MY bitching; all sounded perfectly normal on my side)
