Idea for next tour...

I loved The Stones doing the "Bob Willis" cover song in Austin. That was amazing!
But I think The Stones should do a different cover song at each show that they do on the next tour. Maybe on their web site have people send in suggestions.
Mine would be
this Bo Diddley number I Can Tell. The Pirates also did a great version of this in 1962. And I saw Johnny Thunders do it a few times. Great song for The Stones to cover.

And then after the tour do another live album of the best of the cover songs.

Hi Jeppe,
I do hope and pray you´re wrong but I´m afraid you´re right...most certainly there will be somekind of massive celebration of the 50th anniversary but a whole worldwide tour...I doubt it.

I never heard about the track "Before You Got Me Happy". Is it a song from a bootleg?

No, not from a bootleg. It's from reality

LOL stunning idea mate grinning smiley

And for Europe they could dramatically change the set-list replacing Streets Of Love, Miss You and I'll Go Crazy with Bitch. We don't need such lengthy shows over here, do we?

Very true, Silkcut. Better to keep it as short as possible.
On a side-note; could you please drop me an email ? (unless you have allready seen my PM on Hungercity? It has nothing to do with future RS setlists - I promise!)

Guess it will be a goodbye and thank you show to all stonesfans in a worldwide live satelite broadcast, and ofcource the last time will be the encore with an altered text; This could will be the last time, ........and all the lucky ones that could get a ticket for this last show will be presented the recordings of that show at the exit.........a spectacular speed release (audio and footage) or a link to the rollingstones site for a free download.......

This all will be a wish come true but the stones certainly will surpise us all !

All of those set lists look just like they have done a billion times. Sure lots of great stuff however I think they should do something different and only play Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley numbers ONLY! Or maybe they should do a Country Music ONLY tour. Dead Flowers, Country Honk and so on.

Why do you prefere a short show? I like a long show with songs they never played live before, because this tour will be surely the last forever.

I would prefer to listen to the rumoured 45 min version of claudine.
same song as encore would be great. 90 min set is enough and the setlist
is easy to remember......

yeah this will be the last tour until the next one. However if they do stop touring it's probably because they are tired of playing the same stuff. If you watch the video of them playing the "Bob Willis" cover song in Austin they look like they are having fun for a change. I say forget the spectacle and the big stage and the big band. No need for another press conference mentioning the start of the tour. They should play and hour and 40 minutes of cover songs only in arenas no bigger then 20,000 people. Personally I'd rather pay more money for alot less of a "show". The No Security tour had the band on the right track.
they need to cut Jumping Jack Flash, Satisfaction,Brown Sugar, YCAGWYW and all those. Listening to all the concerts and a major portion of the time they are just bored.
