Newest DAC release is "Mean Lean Hits"

Has anybody bought this release ? Upgrade or not? I'm wondering whether to pick it up myself, but would like to hear some comments first

Great artwork by the way.....Rolling Stones should have used that picture themselves for the official realese

Anyway - I'm just posting these covers, for "your information", as some of you are interested in these things.....at least Igemo75 and MunichHilton seems to be interested.

Thanks for the info. Disc 1 = Mean Lean Hits (OBR) plus bonus, disc 2 = High Temperature (VGP) minus the Live Aid rehearsals.

Hi Midnrambler, yes that's true.....easy to see - when seeing the backcover. But yet I wonder how this DAC compares to the previous VGP releases - will be interesting to find out. Oh, maybe not *that* interesting, my expectations are kind of low to begin with. But any upgrade would be welcome over here. Wish we had a more "finished" version of "Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever". Beautiful song - which Rolling Stones could handle well, I think.

Imho cd2 offers the best DW outtakes we were given the opportunity to hear. I loooove that 3 a.m. "what's going on the studio guys" ambience...

I think it might be an upgrade, considering the results DAC had with previous Paris results. Looks interesting, thanks for passing on the info Eric.

PS : properly EQ-ed (that is with a strong treble boost) the "High Temperature" tape was definitely listenable and enjoyable. I hope DAC got their hands on a lower-gen version...

I did not order it - as I'm tired of being disappointed with the DAC EQ engineers. How do you think it sounds compared to "Back To Zero" and other Dirty Work outtakes releases? Not asking for you to upload the whole thing - just would like some opinions about the quality.

I´m interested of this,want to hear DAC´s result,and this in nicely on 2cd´s.
Others are 1 cd things,anyone to upload this here or dime?

Yes I got it, the sound is excellent, but I can compare it closer to other releases tomorrow when I'm back home. I can also upload it of course.
