I picked this up from dime - its snippets of songs and interviews from Leicester 15 May 1976.

The problem is they are ac3 files and I wondered if someone could convert them to mp3 or flac as I can't find any (free) software to convert the files.

It plays in VLC player but I would like to play it in winamp.

There is artwork but it is slightly misleading as it refers to film footage.

well, too bad that the video snippets are the only SBD recordings from Leicester.
This show is one of the few amazing moment of the 1976 tour. incredible energy........

I have this doc (and posted it) in 192kbps - but I never knew it was Leicester, May 15th and I was there spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Great show - and firmly set me on the right path!!

Hi there,is this an audio rip of the 1976 'Stones on the road' ITV doc ? Also, Jagger50 you look very content with your Leicester 15th....any chance of spreading the lurve ? I bet there's lots more little green faces out here in Stonesland after reading about that and I have to admit to being one of them, cheers if you can, EddieByword

I have Switch and Total Audio Converter and both work - but I paid for the basic versions years ago...
...the free version of Switch might work

I find both really good - Switch can sometimes let me down (dodgy flac files, I presume)...
...while TAC seems to cater for any files errors - always worked for me

Cheers

would be too good to be true, if may 15 does exist on tape, because clapton
was on stage and it´s said that they played key to the highway...strange rumour.
anyway, may 14th is circulating.

760514A 14th May: Leicester, England, Granby Hall, incl.
(Honky Tonk Women/If You Can’t Rock Me-Get Off Of My Cloud/Hand
Of Fate/Hey Negrita/Ain’t Too Proud To Beg/Fool To Cry/Hot Stuff/Star
Star/You Gotta Move/You Can’t Always Get What You Want/Band
introduction/Happy/Tumbling Dice/Nothing From Nothing/Outa Space/
Midnight Rambler/It’s Only Rock’n Roll)

760515A 15th May: UK TV (BBC) ‘This Week Special’. News, reports and interviews from
the tour.

760515B 15th May: Leicester, England, Granby Hall, incl.
(Honky Tonk Women/Star Star/Midnight Rambler/It’s Only Rock’n Roll/
Brown Sugar/Jumping Jack Flash)
Note: With special guest Eric Clapton (gtr) on Jumping Jack Flash and Street
Fighting Man and on guitar and lead vocals on Key To The Highway.
The listed songs (and probably more) were filmed by Thames TV for the
upcoming 'Stones On The Road'-special (see 760500C).

Hi Falo01, yes James Karnbach's (the complete recordings of RS) book also has Eric Clapton and Key to the Highway at Leicester on the 15th.....Jagger50 says he has this; amazing for him if he does, hopefully amazing for everyone....maybe sometime...I have the 'Stones on the road' documentry but I didn't know about the BBC 'This Week' program, do you know if that is circulating off hand ? Do you know if this post is a rip of one of those or something else again....it doesn't matter if you're not sure, I can always download it and at least check it against 'Stones on the road'...Cheers..Eddie. P.S what do the reference numbers 760515A etc refer to ?

havent checked itz but I listenend to this one here and I´m pretty sure it´s
taken from stones on the road (see also the included dvd cover).
I dont know if someone has "this week" on video, I don´t.

the reference numbers (taken from www.nzentgraf.de) refer to the date and a
logical number of the entries (A= 1st entry of the day, B= 2nd entry etc).

I´m not sure, but I think jagger50 also have may 15th, which is widely circulating.
if he really has 14th, it would be amazing and new to the trader community.

Cheers Falo, I see, 15-05-76 A, O.K. understood; Isn't it the 14th which is widely available ? (that is the one I have (at least I think I got that one - the last song is IORR and the cover says the 14th)) Jagger50 says he has the 15th......I don't have 'This Week' either but now I know it's out there I'll keep an eye out and will remember to let someone know who can upload it (I've only just learnt how to do emails - uploading's a bit out of my league at the moment) if I come across it, thanks for all the explanations, Eddie

EC was definitely on the stage that night - I remember recounting it to school friends the next day...
...'experts' who asked 'did he play Crossroads?'

I didn't have a clue - I was still a novice then - didn't know half the songs being played by the Stones!!

Some Clapton fans swear that the available recording is from the 15th, and the 14th is not available. I disagree, but I only use the same common sources to base that opinion. But, this could be why people think they have something "new."

By the way jagger50, does your recording contain Key to The Highway? If not, it is probably the same recording most of us refer to as the 14th.

agree, thats what I expect too, lot of times people mix up dates in one and the same
city. again, it would wonderful if I´m proofen wrong......

Stumbled upon a piece of the puzzle regarding the Leicester shows. A Dutch newspaper article about the first Leicester (may 14th) show mentions Clapton getting on stage to join the band for Key To The Highway. Which would indicate the available recording is probably the may 15th show.
