Hi..No offense, but why convert? You lose so much sound quality. Once you go to mp3 you can't convert the files back to FLAC. Let me clarify..You can physically convert back to FLAC but you will have already changed the format so the sound quality can never return. Believe me, I went through the same thing. But once I heard the difference in sound quality I just saved up and purchased an external Hard Drive.

Media Coder is free and converts the file to mp3, aac etc but still keeps the FLAC file. How else can I listen to a FLAC file on my ipod than convert it?

You can listen to Flac with VLC Media Player which is free. Plus you can listen to FLac if you burn it to cd and since Flac is lossless your cd will sound like the original cd.
