I picked up this from a new facebook Page on Glasgow Apollo Rescued Recordings. I am trying to get in touch with them ,register,and have a recording sent if this comes through I will post up, in the meantime if anyone has the recording and can post then great.
The new facebook page can be found if you FB search 'Glasgow Apollo'. here is an excerpt from Jack Mccafferty :-
The Rolling Stones and support act Billy Preston gig from the 16/9/73 gigs are now available from Rescued Recordings from the Glasgow Apollo. The bootleg out there listed as the 16/9/73 gig is in fact the 17/9/73 one. John Hannah recorded this and sent it in to us, and that is why we know this is the real deal! Phil Osborne also known as Faither Jack has done his magic on them, and they do sound great!!. To get these gigs you need to be a member first. All you do is cover discs and P/P and the shows are all yours! So far we have over 300 shows, and we are looking for more. If you recorded a gig at the famous Glasgow Apollo, and want to get it out there to share, just get in touch. If anybody has an Apollo show we don't have then we are interested. Get in touch if you are interested!
You never know one day someone may just find old tapes in a drawer and post up Glasgow 1971 & the missing 76 show, that's how Aberdeen 82 came about.

back to the thread : the Wt link takes you to the newly re-dated Sept.17 show but presented in a much better quality than what's on DAC-090. Really night and day!

The new unearthed Glasgow show is 16 and one we've all been listening to that we thought was the 16th is actually the 17th? I have a hole in my head
in regards to anything binary. So I'm not taking the pÏ$$.
