Hey very cool Vancouverwinking smiley

If only the EUROPEAN Tapers could have been as good as the AMERICAN tapers from 69,
this underated EUROPEAN Tour from 1970, would have been as awesome as the 1969 US Tour IMO

And also cool Artworkthumbs up

For straycat58

I think you're right for the sax in gimme shelter. And I watched the setlists of the others shows in 1970, they stopped playing it after Malmoe.

And you could say if only the American tapers in 1972 could have been as good as the European/Australian tapers in 1973 then the 1972 US Tour could have been as awesome..

I think the 1970 Euro Tour is the band's most flawless Tour...rarely any mistakes.

It's a very peculiar Gimme Shelter, also the intro is unique. I didn't notice before because the version on "Made in Sweden" was quite shitty. This source, being much cleaner, reveals some details I didn't catch before.

So, many thanks for this excellent recording.

Just to resume:
Gimme shelter with sax solo is on Malmoe 1970,
Gimme Shelter with wah-wah pedal guitar solo is on Perth 1973.

*bump*

in case somebody missed this upload of Vancouver

@Vancouver; I'd be happy to upload this recording to DIME; and give the credits to you of course. There's a lot of RS fans who doesn't read IORR.....I'm sure they'd be happy top download this recording for free, instead of "purchasing the next DAC"....or whichever label that downloaded these FLAC files.
Please let me know what you think

Hey Vancouver, 450 people have downloaded it from DIME by now - they send you their thankses for sharing this recording

But somebody pointed out that the recording has been subjected to "some fairly severe noise removal processing"
Did you do any noise removal, Vancouver? Does your "real tape" sound different from the copy you uploaded here?

Would be interesting to know.

yes i removed bass & treble & some mid freq,,(with the eq),i did NOT use hiss remove or no noise e.t.c. that make the sound like playing in "underwater"

i can do new rip ,"naked " without eq,

I second the "naked rip" request winking smiley

Like Dimers have noticed too, it runs a bit slow.
A 6% speed boost greatly improves this nice tape

Hey Vancouver, yes it would be great to hear the "naked rip", thank you...1 track for comparision or so

WHen it comes to the speed....maybe it's better to leave it to somebody with the right software.
I don't have the right software either - but there are some experts on these things out there.....they might be able to help

@Vancouver, somebody made artworks for the recording, even though you allready had done so.....does these links work for you - or is it only for us with DIME account ?
If they're not working - I can send per email if interested

Sorry, links don't work; I don't have access to Dime and, ahem I don't have the knowledge and the tools to download from torrent blogs.
Still, I'm in touch with a very friendly member of this forum from Denmark, I can ask him to download and send me the cd-r.

Hans-Jo, ohose links were only for the artwork, if Vancouver wanted to have them

I'll send you a CDR of the DIME torrent, if you PM me with your address.

As far as I understand it, isn't the version on Dime the same as the one posted here by vancouver? I did download from here.
I think I need vancouver's "naked" rip, without eq. and then I will speed that one up!

I have just written an e-mail to vancouver and asked him to get in touch with me.
But if anybody on this board is willing to step in and can do this better than me, I don't mind. I will do no eq., just correct the speed on my Tascam Cd-Recorder.
