Quote Hairball Interesting, yet not so admirable take on G.E. Smith
Hairball, thank you for posting this. I didnt know this about GE Smith. It boggles the mind . I had to edit my entire post, because of our policy here at IORR. But Gawd..
Next to Keef, I think Billy Gibbons is one of the coolest cats in Rock n Roll! Psyched to see these guys in NYC tomorrow night. Great talent in this group.
Featuring Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Billy Duffy of The Cult, Steve Stevens of Billy Idol, Robert Deleo of Stone Temple Pilots, and Matt Sorum of Guns N' Roses & Velvet Revolver!
Its a great group. Or I'll say it CAN be a great group. Its a fun night out. I saw it in 2013 when they did a benefit show in LA. $50 and it had Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum (so a healthy chunk of GNR which at the time was rarer than it is now for that price), and also Glenn Hughes. That alone was worth it to me. It also had Steve Stevens, Corey Taylor, a few others, that were fine and worked for the evening. Billy Gibbons and Robin Zander I think are great substitutes, and it was a really fun night out. None of the dates worked for me this time around, and the star people I liked aren't really there anymore, but I would have considered it as it was a great show.
While on a little 70's kick, I just watched this video by Shocking Blue and was shocked to see that the singer is a woman. It is a woman right? I can't believe that after all these years I thought it was a man singing. Was anyone else fooled?
I originally started out by viewing the video for the song "Hitchin' a Ride" by Vanity Fair. Does anyone remember hearing this on the radio?
