Holy crap, that was cringeworthy. Not because of Jon's behaviour (which was perfectly reasonable given the circumstances), but they way she pushed him into it...

BTW, he looks OLD in that video. I guess the suit and context make him look older than ever...

I think it was pretty rude of this lounge lizard band to dis Jon Bon Jovi like this and force him to get up and join this cring worth trainwreck , but it goes to show you who has the manners Bon Jovi does for being a good sport .Another reason why i like weddings so much NOT .

OT: Video of Failed 1986 Buffalo Springfield Reunion Surfaces

Anyone ever see this before? For all I know it's been around for years, passed under the radar from fan to fan, but I know I've certainly never seen it before. Features all 5 original members, though Bruce Palmer has put on a lot of weight and no longer really resembles his younger self. Interesting, though. They still kinda sounded like Buffalo Springfield.

Thanks. Very interesting how casual the whole thing is.

I remember sort of a buzz of a reunion in the 80's, and in RnR time (then) it seemed like forever since 1968.

And now this '86 footage is 30 years old....

Yikes.

It's hard to tell if they were playing just for their own amusement, or if this was a serious attempt at making an album and going on tour. I do remember an interview from around this time where Neil said he couldn't reunite CSNY and Buffalo Springfield, that it would have to be one or the other. And of course, two years later we got the godawful American Dream album, which was so bad, Neil wouldn't even agree to support it with a tour. Shoulda gone with Springfield, though I gotta admit, just based on the video, it's not at all clear that Palmer and Martin would really have been up to the task.

You can almost see that there are two level of players in the room: Neil and Still are dealing with each other, and the others seem relegated to supporting staff.
(Minus points to Stills for the headless guitar monster)

Agree minus points to Stills for the headless monster because he has one of the best collections of vintage instruments .Sounds okay to me .1986 they were all probably feeling pretty good .So besides Neill and Stills who are the others in this clip?

First, Bon Jove was being NICE by joining in! It was not rehearsed or planned. He was a GUEST! This is ridiculous to critique " his performance". The woman singer was BAD! I'm sure he felt awkward and was happy to not do an encore!

No one critiqued his performance and no one would dare accuse Bon Jovi of planning or rehearsing this performance. No sure where you're getting that. Saying he felt awkward is, in my view, rather an understatement.

I think he'd prefer be doing a karaoke version of You are the Wind Beneath My Bedsheets at Lindsey Lohan's wedding than singing his own song off-key at this wedding with a "trumpet-playing band."

Yes, I can imagine an a capella-version. This could be nice.

Isolated vocals always strike me as rather comical .... unless you're the Beach Boys, or someone like that.

Ha ha ha ha ha... you can hear why they had to edit the song so heavily... of course you can hear that on the boots anyway. Hilarious.

Not his range.

Doe he say "I take a knee" at 3:43? Ha ha! Funny way of saying "taken neat". What does he mean by that? No ice?

And for the whole outro he's got that grunt voice going on... kind of sounds like Prince for one little bit.
