Why are you absolutely sure that is actually faux news?

Youve heard this stuff?

And you still think it possible that Keith would release a CD of what amounts to be him mumbling, doodling and farting - all recorded on a basic home tape recorder?

Theres a world of difference. On Nebraska, Bruce wasnt merely fooling around. Plus he released it eight months later. Not 25 years afterwards.

The Toronto '77 stuff is releasable because its professionally recorded and properly performed. The Honeymoon stuff doesnt fit either category. Its nothing he probably hasnt taped 100 times - it just happens to have fallen into the hands of bootleggers.

The whole story is absolute nonsense. The original article even suggests this stuff is newly circulated and barely hints that its very old.

the various (homemade) compilations of Keith LV tunes i've got are very compelling listening indeed.

I couldn't agree more! I would love for Keith to release a state-of-the-art version of this stuff! Besides, these songs have been bootlegged in various versions forever, why shouldn't he start receiving some royalties for them?

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...

Absolute rubbish.

Theres so many inaccuracies, exaggerations and downright fabrications in that article, its easy to lose count.

When did Keith do an online chat? 1998? The notion that he'd release something like the Honeymoon Tapes is absolutely laughable.

I tend to agree, but then there were some pretty naiive comments on IORR re Ronnie's "dalliance"and how the tabloids were reporting it at the time.
And we all know the accuracy of that story.
Don't forget anyone who releases Run Rudolph Run is capable of anything.........

keith is not commercially viable anymore although he could release anything for his own gratification - like mick does.

I think he is flash-backing to his and Andrew Oldham's visit to a Frank Sinatra recording session, courtesy of Warners Prez Joe Smith, back in the 60's, during one of their Hollywood recording sessions.

When was this? I'm a huge sinatra fan and I dont remember hearing about that!

>> When was this? <<

1965 or so - they just stopped into the studio and watched for a bit.
it doesn't surprise me if it didn't really register on Sinatra's radar.
