Undercover. On my third copy (vinyl). The CD and cassette are still in great condition, though.

....without a doubt Get Yer Ya Yas Out! I think I bought that album possibly three or four times as I wore it out so much (which says a lot for a cheapskate like myself LOL). However, my last copy has got Mick Taylor's signature which is probably my most prized possession.

I've played many records to death - off the top of my head:

When they first were released:

Stones - Made in the Shade , Some Girls & Tattoo You
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Street Survivors
Johnny Winter Captured Live
Bob Marley - Kaya & Uprising
X - Los Angeles & Wild Gift
The Blasters - American Music
The Clash - London Calling
The Specials

After they were released:
Hendrix - Electric Ladyland, Cry of Love, and Rainbow Bridge
Stones - Beggars, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile, Hot Rocks
Beatles - everything.

I've owned multiple copies of all of the above throughout the years, except Made in The Shade as I still have the original vinyl (the first Stones album I bought).
It's trashed, thrashed, scratched, and falling apart. Unplayable, but loads of memories attached to it

I's have to say Ya Yas too.

...Though that first original pressing I bought still sounds the best of the various copies I have.

Just to add a boring technical slkant to this thread...

... Records you think you played to death on primitive old record decks are often later found to be in good nick when played on higher quality equipment years later.

This is becausw a high quality stylus profiles tend to run on a lower path in the groove, on vinyl often untouched by the big spherical styli of old.

Probably Rolled Gold to begin with. Tattoo You as well. Most listened to album ever would be Miles Davis Kind of Blue it just gets better every time. You don't have to be a jazz snob to listen to this.

John, you beat me to it!! Rolled Gold - not only the first Stones album that I got into but also the first album first stop. I played my dad's copy non-stop for 3 months and only stopped when Some Girls was released.

Eventually I bought a new copy and kindly gave my dad back his old crackled version - but I also swapped the cover over. The new shiny version just didn't seem right and I liked the faded 'vinyl ring' version!

Still my favourite compilation - can't beat having the songs in chronological order!

From all of my music collction (Stones and non-Stones as well) Dirty Work probably is the record I´ve listened to most frequently. Did it again yesterday and it was the same enjoyable experience as ever.
