Journey, Nickelback, My Chemical Romance???

I can even find some rap on my daughters iPod that beats that.

Hmmm, trying to find the highlights of the Sabres trashing of the Sharks in the tank on their last visit. Now that sends chills up my spine.

Lickin' is a great Black Crowes track, very offbeat. I have a disco remix version of it that actually works brilliantly. Who'd a thunk that?

My Ipod says:

1) For Your Life- Led Zeppelin
2) Champagne & Reefer- Ian Moore
3) Mississippi Freight Train- James Cotton
4) Wrong Side Of The Whip- Substitutes
5) You Got The Silver- Susan Tedeschi
6) High Water (For Charlie Patton) Live from Niagra Falls, Ont- Bob Dylan
7) Tangerine- Led Zeppelin
8) You Gotta Move- Aerosmith
9) Have Mercy On Me- The Black Keys
10) I Can't Be Satisfied (Hard Again album version)- Muddy Waters

I'm tired, I'm tired of doing what I'm told.
Things are moving way too slow.

Do you mean from the "Top 25 Most Played" section? If so, mine are:

1 Lookin' For Boys - The Pin-ups
2 One Love - Nas
3 Lola - The Coasters
4 Licking Stick (live) - James Brown
5 Got My Mojo Working (live - American Folk Blues Festival)-Muddy & Sonny Boy Williamson
6 First I Look At The Purse - The Contours
7 Footstompin'/I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate - David Bowie
8 Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose - James Brown
9 The Rover - Led Zeppelin
10 Daddy Don't Live In That New York City No More - Steely Dan

Very surprising for me to see that list - not at all what I expected.

I have two iPod Shuffles. I take one or the other to the gym and on dog-walks. One is loaded with 260 Stones studio tracks and the other contains every official Stones live album plus quality bootlegs to flesh out all the eras.

My Top Ten is thus continually rotating.

I strongly suggest the BOSE ON-EAR HEADPHONES, not the ear buds. They are $179.99 (US). Best iPod purchase I EVER made. Go to the Apple store, take your iPod and plug in a set and listed to music that you are familiar with. You will be sold in a few seconds, it's just that good. They have the BOSE sets plugged n all over the place.

My two cents: I have $5 earplugs, because of my tendency to lose them, destroy them, put them in the washing machine, sit on them, spill my drinks on them.. they're Phillips. A little low in the bass but I just compensate with some equalizing and they sound ok. I listen to 192 kb/s mp3, mostly outside or in the train, so I don't really care about the difference between good or bad earplugs.
Mine:

1. Jimmy Rosenberg - I can't give you anything but love2. Blitzkrieg - Yngwie Malmsteen
3. Dinette - Rosenberg Trio
4. Guitar Boogie - Rosenberg Trio
5. La Promenade - Rosenberg Trio
6. Minor Blues - Rosenberg Trio
7. For Sephora - Rosenberg Trio
8. Begin the Beguine - Rosenberg Trio
9. Chega de Saudade - Jimmy Rosenberg
10. Take What I Want - Rory Gallagher.

Funny, I never looked at this before. One rock 'n roll song in there.. seems I'm a big Rosenberg Trio fan.

I kind of felt the same about earphones until I tried the BOSE. They are not too large and fold up nicely. They make a huge difference and you har sounds you never heard before in songs.

Is there really such a thing as an iPod top ten? MP3 is an abomination to recorded music. Sorry, I really don't mean to offend but I've got to get on my high horse on this one. I will never, ever own an MP3 player. Oops, gotta go. My rotary telephone ringing.

My original thought, but when you can spend hours on L.A. Freeways travelling at about 15 mph, it's a lot more convenient than CDs. My own personal Jack. playing what I want.
