Hi Tipps

ask mattleeuk about his collection of Rolling Stones ephemera. It's quite interesting. I guess he has the biggest collection that I have seen.

I have all the official releases, starting with the first, on vinyl up to Dirty Work, everthing else on CD thereafter. I haven't counted my vinyl and CD boots lately but they must number over 150 or so. I have every US tour book from '69 forward and two BGP poster (Oakland '69 and Winterland '72) I haven't bought a t-shirt at a concert in years so I don't have any to speak of.

3.5 million still seems to be the standard. surprising. i thought for sure others would have many more millions than that.

Really Cindy? Please tell me why. I've purchased every offical release and have seen them 17 times. The boots I own are not official releases and so as I see it do not deprive the Stones of royalties. When the (if ever) they offically release any of the live shows I have, then I would purchase it. Does that make me a "bad" fan?

NickB, thank you very much for your kind words. I wouldn't claim to have THE biggest but I certainly have a good stash. There are others who have far more bootlegs, far more records (JR!) or far more tickets etc... What is relatively unique about my collection (and I say relatively) is its diversity. I have some great pieces in every category and across all eras, it is simply impossible to have everything. I also have pretty respectable Solo, Faces and Birds collections. I love collecting and it has taken my friendship with may other Stones fans around the world to new levels. If it all went up in smoke tomorrow I would probably just start all over again.

Hi Fred, when you coming over to Europe again? Maybe you're waiting for The Stones. Hopefully that'll be next year.

My friends think I have a BIG collection, and subsequentially out of my mind. However, I know I can't stand up to some of you guys. At least my landlords wife screamed when she saw my shrine. It's only Rock and Roll.

I have official songs played by as well as recorded by The Rolling Stones on CDs. Whether or not that makes them bootlegs I dunno - they played them and they were recorded. Therefor they exist so...

stones_relics has the most amazing Stones collection I've ever been priviledged to see. Boots, posters, acetates, exceedingly rare (and valuable) official releases. Unbelievably great collection and he's an authority.
