What does he play? What does the set list look like?

"You'll be studying history and you'll be down the gym. And I'll be down the pub, probably playing pool and drinking."

Does this mean the Stewart/ Faces tour (and record) -with Ronnie -is not happening, well for the time being anyway.

I sent Mac an e-mail at his website just before he played in my city a couple of years ago.
He replied and asked me to say hello after the show.

Turns out I couldn't make the show, so I never got to meet him.

Definitely going to the show in Detroit on March 8, 2009. Coincidentally, that's our 10th wedding anniversary!

We won't be too hard to find. We'll be the loud, drunk, insane couple standing right in front of the stage. Good idea getting your tix early. Place only holds about 300. It could sell out.

They're not even posted on the website yet, but they've just added dates for Cleveland and Chicago! Gotta love a guy who's willing to tour the upper midwest in the middle of winter!

So can anyone tell me what a set list might look like? Does he play solo stuff, Faces, any Stones, a mixture of it all?

No, but I've been to The Magic Bag for a number of shows:

John Entwistle '98
Mick Taylor '99, '01
The Yardbirds '03, '07
Leslie West/Mountain '01, '02, '05
Cactus reunion '07

Curious to see which local band(s) will get to open for Mac. Competition should be fierce for that gig.

Sorry to get OT here, tatters, but how was West/Mountain last time you saw 'em?
I may be going to see 'em opening for Satriani.

They cut the set short because Corky wasn't feeling well. In fact, at one point, I could swear I saw him clutch at his chest, which scared the hell out of me. It was right around the time of the Cream reunion gigs and they included a three-song Cream tribute mini-set as part of their show. Very cool. I even removed my ear plugs when they did Sunshine Of Your Love.

There is no "Macs Gigs" section on his website with old set lists.

Just picked up tickets to see the once and future Face at The Magic Bag on March 8. Tickets say "limited seating" on them. It appears that the little club, anticipating a wave of Faces reunion hysteria, is going to remove most of the tables and turn this into one of their rare "standing room only" shows.

Apparently, Buddy Holly's fans said the same thing....
