recreate the photo on the cover of the first US album (similar to what the Beatles did with the Red and Blue albums) and call it "England's Oldest Hitmakers"
Apart from calling the album "England's Oldest Hitmakers", your cover idea is awesome.
Not bad, but they don't have enough guys. Also, they don't have the SAME guys.
If it doesn't show the same (I.e. The Stones' getting older), it'd show how they've changed. Still a very good idea by any standard.
Yeah, but why would they want to flagrantly imitate a Beatles idea, especially when that is something they were always being accused of in the sixties?

tatters, TOM PETTY has a song called "Swingin'" from a few albums back so your idea is a bit too late my man.....
There have been hundreds of songs and albums with the word "Swinging" in the title. Who says you have to use words that have never been used before?

Dude, there's a difference between "Done Before" and "Pure Copy" PETTY'S "SWINGING" is much too similar.... Check your Dictionary and look up the word "NUANCE". It's all in the Nuance tatters, now mellow out a bit senor, you're much too tightly wound..... Nothing New Under The Sun except New Stuff.....
