I was listening to this show yesterday in my SUV thru an iPod. This is a great show. It may be the best boot of the the entire 1975 tour. I'm still listening to others. Yes the vocals are sloppy but so what! IMO that is the Stones at their best.

The indoor show was clearly the better of the two Buffalo shows, but all of 75 beat the hell out of 76 when the wheels started coming off. The 78 Rich Stadium show was a big dissappointment after the 75 shows.

Bull crap about the heroin. This rumor got started in one of Keiths biographies. The author states in the same paragraph that Mick starts singing Street Fighting man instead of Brown Sugar. Something like that. I was at the show. It never happened!!! Also if you listen to the bootleg you can hear IT NEVER HAPPENED. How can these writers just make up crap and get away with it?????

Wild rumours are usually a lot more interesting than mundane facts. They're also relying on most readers not bothering to check the facts for themselves (who has the time?). Some authors seem to forget that there was an audience there too!

"all of 75 beat the hell out of 76", I maintain that the worst show in 72 was better than the best show 75.

Mymistake on this post:

"Dear buffalo7478,

I came across this forum because I was doing a search on the Stadium Inn, the bar that you mention in the post. My family owned this little bar and I am currently doing research on it, to try and find old photographs, etc. I never heard this story about the Stones before. Where have you seen the pictures of the Stones in the Stadium Inn? If you have them in scanned format, could I possibly get a copy of them from you? Please email me back at Ciganka9@aol.com. Thank you for your time."

It was the 7 Corners Inn, not Stadium Inn. Both are now wrecked...as are hopes of ever seeing the Stones in Buffalo again. : (

Doesn't anybody besides Annie Leibowitz have pics of this gig? I've seen like two from the noosepapers.

i remember.. (screen becomes rippled)

freshman year in college (1979) on one particularly fortunate night i find myself wandering back to the dorm room of a girl i'd met earlier in the evening. we're just talking, as i remember on a very cold fall night, and we finally make it back to her place. in her room, she has a bottle of something college-y (yukon jack? boone's farm strawberry wine?) for a night cap but i notice, tacked to her cork bulletin board, a circa-75 outdoor evening shot of jagger under the lights (taken on what looks like a 110, but it's a decent photo--very close) she says, "well i saw them in 1975--that's one of the pictures my dad took but here's a bunch more" in a drawer is an envelope with maybe 20 or so decent shots from this show--my jaw dropped--i mean, in 1979, this was a major find--can't remember her name - but i do recall the shots (and her lovely face)

"Angie" was dropped from the setlist late in the tour. Not sure exactly when but I know it was after the Los Angelos Forum shows.
