My vinyl copy of Some Girls is an italian one from 1978 (uncensored)

When and by whom was this original cover banned/censored ?

Was there any cd release with the original coverart ? ( I think no but I don´t know)

Lucille Ball had something to do with it.

yeah, some or all of the actresses depicted threatened to sue because they considered the images "unbecoming".
i agree with you about the CD cover: i don't think it was ever released with the original design.

Well, they withdrew the original cover, but it´s not hard to get, I mean the record sold very well before any action was taken, and on a global view, you can imagine how difficult it must have been recalling all the covers, so I don´t think it was succesful. However what´s interesting is how many color variations exist.
I got at least 5-6 different, how many exists?

Thanks for your infos so far,and : I´ve had forgotten the multicouloring of
the albumcover.

My version mentioned above has:

pink/violet
green
yellow
blue

Bill Wyman´s Rolling with the stones contains the "pale" one(as my virgin collector´s cd) and in the 1000 record covers book by Michael Ochs it´s

green
yellow
blue
pink/violet

Furthermore the lettering "Some Girls" differs from vinyl to cd:
Vinyl seems to have red/white letters ,the cd version just black...

OK,the music counts but the eyes are listening too.
