Come on. It's Friday afternoon. Get out. Get drunk, Walk the dog. Or play the Stones. Loud. Whatever your Friday afternoon procedure is... but I am sure you don't spend Friday afternoon talking politics, if so then you will ge a red nose before the sun is up tomorrow morning. Take care!

Much as it dismays me to say so, I don't think the Democrats will get in this time, I have always thought that in general the vast majority of American citizens would not vote in a White woman or a Black man and to that extent the Democrat Party was on a loser , no matter who won the actual nomination.
Shame really because that means a man in his 70's will get to be the most powerful man in the world.

I do hope that this is not the case, but somehow I think it will be.

Here We go! If McCain is elected I'm moving to the UK!!

Here we go with all the false promises. If half the celebrities who said the same about Bush being elected would've left the USA it would be a much better place to live. Maybe they tried but no other country wanted them either! Coom by yah...coom by yah, the sixties are over flower children, sorry to break it to ya. The Kennedy's are gone, King's gone, your weed's gone time to face reality.

In the 60's we were in a terrible no win war. We are today. Obama will get our soldiers the fvck out of Iraq and instead go after Osama Bin Laden...remember, the terrorist that actually did attack the USA?

Please give me a break. There are 300 million people in USA. There is no way we can discuss US or any other politics here without getting into a fight within hours. Some like the daughter and others like the mother. If you post political statements on IORR and you do know it is against the policy on IORR that is a clear sign of disrespect of the editor and the IORR community. It is like stealing candy from kids. Or like robbing old ladies. It may be done but it is not a nice thing to do. Thank you.

Sorry Bjornulf,my fault

Dudes she is friggin' hot. I'm voting McCain just so I can see more of her over the next 4 or 8 years!

Needs to let the hair down! Looks too old fashioned that way.

most of all, i think a lot of americans would never vote for a black man when it comes down to the privacy of the voting boothp

I'd vote for the person who I think represents my views most, be it male, female, or any race...but I think you're right, there's a lot who don't look at it that way.

Hopefully the GOP will get a fair shake at the convention (that is, the pending hurricane doesn't disrupt national affairs), then let the debates decide.

if only americans knew how badly the rest of the world wants obama to take over
from bush, then it would be a landslide.

As an American living here, I can tell you it's well known. Every other country is looking out for their own interests though of course, which should make Americans suspicious.

Now PLEASE HELP ME VOTE: Shall it be Michelob or Miller Lite tonight?

well, so far, old boy, this has stayed pretty civil. I emphasize so far. And I think this is the first time I have ever started a political thread. Correct me if I am wrong. I should be allowed this transgression of the rules at least once.

I have made my remarks. Nothing more from me is needed on this thread. I will leave whilst things are still civil.

you ain't gonna get it, b/c idle speculation like yours is what fuels rumors. My point was, why post at all if you don't know anything, not that I know more than you.

Ah! I had forgotten that Michelob used that song for their commercials. Sorry to tease you.

I'd go with the Michelob Light over Miller Lite.

Absolutely not. If every single person out of thousands on IORR broke the rule once it would be a dozen or so posts like this every day. If every person is allowed to rob one old lady in life just for the fun of it the world would be crazy.
