Back to the original point of this thread.
Cecil Beaton the former English "society photographer" was in N Africa at the same time as the 1967 trip by Mick and friends.
In his diaries he refers to their "lack of bottoms", no hips at all in fact.
Cecil was gay and much admired by the Royal family.
