If someone makes home audio recordings, what software do you use? I used adobe audition v3 but my free trial download has expired. Any suggestion?

Normaly, i record guitar, bass (with the guitar), drums (with a keyboard) and voices.

Audacity is free, and a decent software as well.

I use Mackie Traction. I've tried a lot of different ones and I prefer Traction. Magix Music Maker and Magix Music Studio are good too and you can get free trials and also buy the older programs at a reasonable cost. Some versions are given away free.

Logic Studio is my recording software.
I recently started to use the pod x3 live to record guitar and bass.
I also use 24-Track Standalone recorder as an audiointerface if I record drums and stuff like that.

I recently started to play around with guitar connected to PC. I use Audacity, Reaper and many free VST effects.

What I want to suggest is that all the guitar players on this board should start exchanging presets and suggested amp settings for various songs. It would be nice addition to existing topics about stones gear. I am not very familiar with these yet but i collected free VST's such as Fender Twin amp, Tubescreamer and Analog Delay and I assume it should give kond of Keith sound.

I have an amp modeling unit with a line out. I connect that to the line in on my PC>. Then I use Adobe Audition for multitrack recording, it's quick and simple. Works like a charm.
