Great version of Bitch (1973) (Youtube)

I've been looking for the "definitive version" of Bitch for a long time, and finally, five minutes ago, I may have found it (Sydney 1973):

I was the one who uploaded this video.

The audio is taken from the "Rock & Roll Stew" bootleg.

I like Dave Matthews work with The Stones, but also this comment on Youtube to this version:

"Asserting that Dave Matthews did a better version of this song is like asserting that Russians cook better Mexican food than Mexicans. As someone said in another comment: "this is the sound of a band in HEAT...this is the sound of a band fueled by alcohol/pussy/smack/lust...this is the sound of the REAL DEAL...watch and learn kiddies. and keep in mind you'll never, ever be as cool as this...EVER!!!" Dave Matthews couldn't carry Mick's dirty jockstrap."

Congratulations, Memo, great footage (isn't that's what the pictures and film are called?), e.g. starting with the band on stage when Mick starts singing. The footage shows so well the wonderful attitude of this band. No one else comes close!

Great stuff, like the many others you've uploaded.
keep it up pal.

my request to you would be - if you make another remix (footage + bootleg sound), could you upload it in stereo?

please have a look at my "How To"

Also from Sydney 1973 (I heard Sydney 1973 a long time ago, didn't understand how good it is!) - a great Rocks Off:

Great!

I had never fully noticed this pure dual attack (3'12) by Mick T & Keith.

Also, this is one of the rare "solo" in a Stones by Bill Wyman. Other would be Sympathy for the Devil version 1969, between Keith's solo and Mick Taylor's licks.

The non stage footage is from CS Blues isnt it? But the performance footage is definately from the American 72 tour either from Cs Blues or L@G.

The boot dvd that I have "Ladies and Gentlemen" has a good version as well. Mick is in his prime, locked and loaded! No that isn't a cucumber stuck down the front of his pants either. He is really into this song as well as the other songs. This is the epitome of a rock and roll band! Any band that has hopes of duplicating this type of performance can cancel that crap cause it ain't gonna happen. Mick Taylor and Keith are playing strong too and the whole band is just sensational.

... to me its a song that should never be done live, thou i have fond memories of it at the LA forum. its usually a too coke'd out bit live, not enough heroin influence to my taste,, 'bitch' is an all time favorite of mine, sticky fingers version has the tempo, intelligence, feel, exactness, driven movement and stir ta make ya move and take ya out of where ever you might be at any given time... its pure stones.

My favorite live version too - mainly because of that double-lead everyone's
talking about - Taylor/Richards at their PRIME!!!!

Hot and nasty.
That've been "my" Stones!

Both videos are very nicely put together.
They should do it like this with their professional possibilities for off. releases.

It's a shame nobody in the Stones inner sanctum shows any interest in reworking those great days in music and film!
