in Werchter, of course, which everyone seems to say was a bad show.

I was too distracted with some German folks I had finally met in person to focus on the show entirely.

Then there was all that walking, walking to the stade/field whilst hearing Van but missing his show, then all the walking back afterward to my parking space in an empty field, waiting forever to be able to even get out of there, finally leaving at 3 am.

And seeing BV before the show at the front of the stage, he noting that mine was the first IORR t shirt he had seen and arranging and later posting a foto of me in it, but now I cannot find it, having tried searching for it thru several Werchter threads.

It was a bit of a strange overall experience, having never been to a Stones show held in a field. But it was fun.

Yeah, great souvenirs.

No.And the stadium was far to be full... And the rain before the show, cold weather, and Keith...

One of the highlighs for me in Paris was All Down The Line.
Maybe the guitar work wasn't first-rate, but what the heck, I loved every minute of it.
The worst experience was Lisa's dreadful screaming on I'll Go Crazy.

Now to this I say: NO. Keith was FAR better than he had been in Werchter and Nijmegen, it was an immediate, attention grabbing difference. And I went to all 3 shows. And Lyon. And more after that.

As I recall, most people I heard from and reviews were quite positive.

I met Tim from USA/Montana at Werchter before the show. As you can see we met on Ronne side front of stage (yellow wristband). And in the background I can spot at least one more familiar face!

Wow, one year ago, time flies...

I was at the opening show in Werchter, and I had a great time. People go on about the performance, but I thought it was good, and the setlist was absolutely amazing. I remember texting gazza the setlist and he couldn't believe it...

I met a couple of new stones friends in Leuven before the show for some beers, and then we headed up to werchter on a bus. All very nice and relaxed and easy.
But getting back afterwards... An absolute nightmare...

I think Roby means bad memory, you know, that sticks with you, rather like a souvenir that fell apart before you brought it home?

One year ago today I was waiting for my Slane Castle tickets to arrive.

Frustrating that they were just getting into some real form when the tour ended.
