Favorite Mick's Oh yeahs!

I don't know who was the first one to sing "Oh Yeah" in a song, but if that person would have copyrighted it he/she would be every rich by now. I think the Beatles used it before the Stones but Mick Jagger turned it into something very glamourous. My favorite "OH yeahs" are heard in DooDooDooDooDoo (heartbreaker) and Silver Train. Anybodyelse thinks that Oh Yeahs are cool (or not)?

The Ohh yeahhs after the Tempe 1981 concerts are very very cool (they're in the LSTNT movie)

The one that first comes to mind is the one in-between "The band's on stage and it's one of those days" -- OH-YEAH -- and "the drummer thinks that he is DYNA-MITE", AND, of course, the other ones after that... in "If You Can't Rock Me". Great!

Plus.

I can't remember who might be saying it, but the "oh yeeeah" in the beginning of "Rocks Off" is a classic, as well.

On Midnight Rambler during the '75 tour he was doing "Oh yeahs!" in this Fat Albert voice, the one he employed at the end of Hand of Fate.

That's Mick, and it's probably the best Oh Yeah in any song ever.

One of the absolute highlights at that show. The Oh Yeahs on the ABB Tour was the best Rambler Oh Yeahs ever.

The greatest is surely Hide Your Love. He sings it all way through the song.

The best Oh yeahs! are distanced and ironic.

Saint of Me's Oh yeahs! are too forceful and serious. It doesn't work too well because it is yet articulated, almost a word.

If it is for raw power, I prefer the Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! in Midnight Rambler 1972 - absolutely animal

I think the OH Yeahs of the 60's were more like shouts. In the 70's with Glam rock they became more luscious, nasty and sexy; those are the good ones. In fact in the early 70's when I discovered the Stones those Jagger's Oh Yeahs were one of the reasons I could identify the stones. I am french so Oh yeah isn't an expression that we use as frequently as the brits and the americans. Of course americans (ex:JohnnyWinter)are the greatest Oh yeahists!

It sure is. That is a magical moment. I've also always thought that Mick and Billy Preston shouting "Whoaaa"' and "Wooaah Yeah" back and fourth at the end of the song was really cool too.
