Question for all the reggae lovers here, anyone know where to find The Wailing Souls first release. They have sessions from Studio One that supposedly makes up their first studio album around 1974ish, trying to track that down.

Try this link...don't know exactly what you're looking for, but if it's available you'll find it here.
There is an original vinyl pressing of their first Studio One on the "next" page...but VERY expensive!

Thanks Hairball, yeah that is the site I was looking on. I think their first album may only be available on vinyl, as well as their Soul & Power album.

I was thinking or hoping that the cd Chanel One was a compilation of those two albums but don't think it is.

Thanks Rockman, as long as I know its out there then I will be on a mission to track that down. I love the early Studio One sessions from acts like the Wailing Souls or Burning Spear that captures them before they got big.

Thanks Rockman, that looks great!
While I do have quite a bit of that in various forms/formats already, some of it looks rare and unkown to me.

Nice review from Ernie B's:

A real masterpiece, a magnificent effort that chronicles Pablo's most famous works. Five disc (4 CD and 1 DVD) digipack box set with a great booklet. 65 audio tracks on 4 CD's which includes his greatest music, in addition to previously unavailable tracks are rare tunes only released on 7". The 20-minute DVD includes unreleased footage of Pablo in concert, plus an impromptu acoustic session with Hugh Mundell, as well as an interview segment. The 20-page booklet (which could sell for $15 all by itself!) includes never seen photos of Pablo, his studio and other artists, plus informative commentary by Pablo biographer Lol Bell-Brown. One of the 10 best reggae box sets ever! THE PACKAGE IS ONE OF THE BEST WE'VE EVER SEEN!!! Where did they find all those rare photos?
