Yo, how can the Let It Bleed photo exhibit be in Rotterdam until June 1...but in London starting May 23?

They have two exhibits, ala Stones' stages??

yes that is possible, as there are more prints of each picture available.

I was there last friday.... nice pictures but would I pay 3.100 eur for it? (largest size). I don't think so. Some pictures were enlargements of other pictures so the resolution wasn't very high. Actually quite poor sometimes.

There was a picture of Keith standing at a box with a bottle of Jack D. and some cans of Corrs (?) beer. In the background Mick was singing. That was a very cool picture.
There are so many cool rolling stones pictures on the net. Enlarge them, put a frame around it and you'll have almost the same effect.

No, that is not the case. The true value of pictures lies in the photographer's autograph and the limited edition in which these photos are printed/sold.

E.g. , 1/50 means that it is the first print of a limited edition of 50.The first print is very much wanted; most collectors only want a nr 1 print. That print is often more expensive than any following nr. The smaller the edition, the more expensive/exclusive it becomes.

Buying official pictures: you might as well call it an investment or a hobby for people who can afford it. Compare it to any other art form: you can hang up a Van Gogh reproduction . But, the value is nothing. Buying an original is what counts. The same goes for photography.

Indeed, 1/50 is not an original. Like the prints I have of Ron Wood. 368/475...
BTW, all the 1/50 photographs of Bill Wyman were available in Rotterdam.

Vips is the one that represents Bill Wyman in the Netherlands. That is why all prints are available through them.

I noticed during the BAPS (Bay Area PLEXIGLASS Society) in San Francisco at the San Francisco Art Exchange a little over a month ago, that the prices of the Russell prints were much higher than on the publisher's (or was it Russell himself) website.

Why would that be?

Just a few? the "limited" edition (50 #) costs 1.500 eur if you buy it from Ethan's website. It costs 3.100 eur in Rotterdam

Thank God this is a free country: buy it from Ethan's website, I'd say.

take notice of the following:

If you purchase goods on the Internet, it is important to be aware of the conditions to which such purchases are subject when they are imported into the Netherlands.
As a rule, when importing goods into the Netherlands from outside the EU, you will have to pay import duties and/or sales tax (VAT).
