Next Tour

In recent tours they have been breaking out old songs , sway for one, much to my amazment, even c.y.h.m.k. .... how many would love to see a tour with just THEM!!!

no back up singer's .. no blondie! no chuck!

it could cause for some seriously interesting setlists and sound!!

It would be a mess, unfortunately. Those extra people are there for a reason, and the Stones know what they need better than anyone.

Bernard, Lisa and Chuck are Rolling Stones in this days. They are very important for the band music.
Come on, friend. Bernard is a great singer and Lisa is amazing, beatiful and a fantastic singer. I love the Stones backing band. They are great!

Quite agree. The only issue for me is their use in certain arrangements of some songs...but that's just a matter of taste really.

Keith can't sing and play at the same time anymore. Ronnie can't sing at all anymore. That would mean no back-up vocals, and Charlie depending heavily on Chuck for starts, breaks and endings... Yeah, that would be interesting!

What do you mean "anymore", audun-eg? Just remember from Hampton 1981 Keith and Ronnie singing together for a few moments "JJF, it's a gas". Man, it was like two donkeys competition!

They seem to always do alright from the B-Stage...are we saying they couldn't do that for 90 minutes?

Covering Keith's ass. And doing so more with each successive tour.

He's the musical director. he makes suggestions as to what they might play. Mick usually disregards the more innovative ideas. Disappointing? If it wasnt for Chuck's input, you'd have 17-18 songs from 40 Licks every tour, every show, and probably nothing else.

Don't be fooled, the backing band is definitely playing/singing on the B-Stage tracks, they're just doing it from backstage.

theyll be different on any other tour , and sometimes there's no surprise at all.
they'll keep playing tumbling dice , start me up , satisfaction , jjflash , brown sugar , honky tonk , sympathy and iorr.
im starting to get bored of that stuff.
I won't expect anything , let's wait for them to say something.
Of course , i don't like the way they carry all those people each show.
It's not the original rolling stones anymore ( it was from 1989 to now).
the only ones they need is chuck and the horn section , that's the rolling stones.
they should start doing something different : playing rare songs we would like to listen like : slave , mixed emotions , a bunch of 60's songs , i got the blues , torn and frayed ( toronto 2002 was amazing) , if you cant rock me.

dont you get bored of this ?:

Start Me Up
You Got Me Rocking
Rough Justice
Rocks Off
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Midnight Rambler
Ill Go Crazy
Tumbling Dice
Happy
Slipping Away
Miss You
IORR
Satisfaction
HTW
Sympathy
JJFlash
Brown Sugar
( variated abb show)

starting to get disappointed

"Midnight Rambler" can stay in the set list. That song brings out the best out of the guys no matter how off a night they are having.

Not in my experience going by some 2007 shows. Besides, the backing musicians play during the b-stage set now - unlike on previous tours

I've accepted that they can't/shouldn't/wont' do that. I fully agree - these days they need them.

Thank you! Ronnie was a great guitar player for the Faces, had great rock 'n' roll hair, & looked the part of the wasted guitar player...but he was never a good singer.

That's right. Never could really sing. Never had a strong enough voice to sing live.

A cigarette cough that gurgles through the night.

That's Ronnie.

A cigarette wheeze that rambles through the night.

That's Keith!
