We all know how conservative our guys have become concerning the radical changes with their set list. One of the most memorable moments with the gigs I´ve attended was 2000 LY in 1990 Urban Jungle Tour. What a crowd pleaser, so different and surprisingly I noticed, that those non-Stones fans loved it as much as I. (My first RS concert, I was blown away anyways..)
Re-considering all the spectacular moments I´ve spent with these gigs, I would strongly suggest they´d put this powerful song a fresh new start: in ARENA shows, what a show-stopper and a killer goosepump-song it would be. During the nostalgia act it could replace Sympathy.
Just my morning thouhgts, any comments dear brothers and sisters?
Thanks for the Video. I just loved that song in 1990 and I hope they will play more rare songs once we will have a new tour. But I am happy with what I get anyway
I saw them performing it 1990 in Hannover - it was fantastic. Love the studio version and live it was amazing too. My first and only Stones concert by the way. I really enjoyed the concert, but for me they began to transform into a Las Vegas Big Band at this time and I never went to see them again.
2000 Lights Years was excellent at Arrowhead Stadium in KC in '89, however much of the audience didn't seem to know it or get very excited when it was played.
BTW, the transition out of 2000 LY into SFTD was absolutely incredible.
I imagine Mick wouldn't want to do this one because it's semi-obscure to many - but who knows. I for one would love it if they played this song live in an arena.
Would love to see this song back in the set. I am all for more 60's tunes in the set. Would nice to see a little 60's mini set. They wrote so many great songs in the 60s that have been generally ignored at their live shows.
Saw 2kLY in Paris, loved it.. they can do this song anytime for me .. similarly they should do WE LOVE YOU, which i think would be even better on stage..
