Who talked about first week? As you can see i mentioned the first two weeks...Anyway, don't forget that ABB was two weeks #1 on Worldchart and it stayed on Top 10 for five weeks. ABB has sold much better than what many people on this board are thinking…
Unfortunately, i have not the sources and the info georgelicks have. I don’t know everything album’s exact TOTAL sales number. But a few months ago i made some calculations based on what various famous artists and bands (new or newer, from any kind of music), have sold, DURING their stay on Worldchart's Top 50. ("musicchart" ). Trying to appraise ABB’s sales, i estimated sales done by famous artists after ABB came out. Week by week, month by month.
As we know, ABB has sold 2.6 million. The album has sold 1,927,400 copies before it left Top 50. What have other acts sold during their stay on the same Worldchart? My sample includes 50 albums…
During their stay on Top they had sold:
Bon Jovi 2,422,100
Simple Minds 181,000
Franz Ferdinard 1,482,600
Sheryl Crow 678,000
Him 420,500
Corrs 457,300
Depeche Mode 1,283,300
System Of A Down 1,812,300 (“Hypnotize”)

Some sales -mentioned or not, here- are so poor that in a few cases i wonder
wether it concerns about studio albums or some other stuff (georgelicks knows, of course). But i think this catalogue overral could be considered as representative of the general sales level, these days. The more i see numbers on Worldchart, the more I appreciate ABB’s sales!
