Any escort agency in NY... Today some of them call themselves "Modelling agencies". Like : Are you a photographer? Why not RENT your own model?

Anyway, the Beacon was a great show, but for my money, between the fake fans, the cameras and the unnecessary special guests, I actually preferred a few of the other Arena shows I saw on this tour (the LA Forum in particular, just smoked).I

Well anyway it's the best line up of chicks I've seen at a Stones gig since the troupe onstage for Honky Tonk Women during the 81/82 tour (course that was pre-silicone era!)

There's a brunette in a brown tank top in some of the shots, along the left hand side of the center ramp (if you are facing the stage). She and her friend take a picture of Keith when he has his back to them and is crouched down.

I would like to marry her.

The models were brought in after the fans they recruited did not meet the expectations of the crew. There was a New Yorker article shortly after the filming that mentioned this aspect of the project.

I have posted a few quotes from it before on this board.

Apparently they found the "Shidoobees" were "underwhelming in sexiness" and the crew decided to get replacements for the front row/s.

I have to agree to a point with this. Many of the "real" fans show up dressed like and ad for the merchandise website, dressed head to toe in garish 'tonguewear.' And there are those that bring along signs and license plates and what not to be recognized and to show off for the cameras -- in typical "Look At ME!" fashion.

This is the increasingly annoying problem with crowds and events in the US (and, I'm curious, abroad?) where the show becomes about getting on the camera, waving on your cell phone and generally showing off to "be on TV," as opposed to being thankful for your incredible luck to score and amazing seat/and view of this show and devote your attention to the band and the performance instead of yourself.

And, yes, part of the reality is they didn't want a bunch of frumpy old people down in front. it's a business, it's a movie -- they want young attractive people down there so it looks good.

I'm amazed this comes as a surprise to anyone.

It was a film set AND a concert. Any of us who got into either or both of these shows were lucky (or rich -- another reality). Complaining about taking away seats for real fans because of the business at hand overlooks the main purpose of the event itself. We were ALL extras in a movie. These shows weren't even scheduled until Marty suggested it.

Fans did not lose out on anything. The lucky ones were fortunate to get the opportunity to be part of the experience.

Fans also lost seats to cameras and crew. The 'models' were part of that. The crew didn't even have to extend ANY invitations to fan sites, but they did, and many folks got to experience the show from down front.

And all of those fans that were recruited were 'hired' as extras and were told there was no guarantee of anything.

i always think of the "glimmers" as mick and keith! do you mean the shidoobees?
they should've recruited from IORR...though i think there are more female shidoobees than IORRians. i faxed marty myself to ask but was ignored...

i know some who were invited in - then escorted out! only one thought to run into the bathroom instead of go along with that. there certainly was enough room for those 3 people - no need to tease them like that. very cruel in my opinion...
