Did iorr go down there for a while?
Posted by: Deltics ()
Date: March 11, 2008 21:39

I visited this site earlier this evening, but found myself logged out and unable to log back in again and only Eric Snow was logged in!
There also seems to have been a record number of users and guests:

Record Number of Users: 93 on March 10, 2008 19:13
Record Number of Guests: 294 on March 11, 2008 18:49

There was also a five hour gap between postings.
What on earth happened?
Did anyone else experience this?

This site went down harder than Monica Lewinsky in the oval office.

I bet it wasn't easy to find where it belongs - after pulling the plug.

That sounds quite depressing to me.
Long Live IORR.

There was a short downtime around 4pm Central European Time. If you have problems logging in then please ask for a new password via the system (Log In ... Did you forget your password? ...). If you don't receive the e-mail with the new password please check in all your spam, trash and extra folders where your spam mail goes. The password e-mail might be categorized as spam by some systems. Thanks!

Could this be right? Why? Usually heavy usage on tour announcement day.

Presumeably because everybody was logged off for a while and we all registered as guests when we visited the site.
Although that doesn't explain the record number of users last night.
Maybe bv has the answer.

No. You'll never get rid of me man. When we're old we'll sit on IORR as the only two left, arguing wether or not Brussels Affair is good. smiling smiley

I managed to log in by changing the URL into an "https" one. And there I was, together with three other people (Erik wasn't the only one), feeling like someone on top of a mountain, realising he's lost his fellow climbers.

The chap who looks after our office's computer systems paid us one of his visits yesterday - and the next time I tried to access IORR I was logged out and couldn't get back in.

Putting two and two together I made a grand total of five and guessed that the Management had noticed my IORR activities and decided to cut me off - and then I spotted Erik logged on in splendid isolation and realised the problem was at IORR.

Anyone got another 10 pence for the electric meter?

To anyone who grew up in modern America, this is a reference to us poor folk in Britain who grew up in less than modern conditions and had to pump a meter full of coins to give us electricity.
