Best is IORR -they played it real slow and groovy in '75, ever since they play it too standard, too Status Quo for my taste. And Fingerprint File, Gimme Shelter (Phaser!), Midnight Rambler, Heartbreaker, Angie and Wild Horses are fantastic on this tour. Also best versions of Sympathy btw.

1976:

Listen to Hand Of Fate from Knebworth - that's a treasure, one of the toughest pieces of music ever played!

Amen. The phaser is why I think Gimme Shelter ala 1975 is the best live version.

Yeah, I think so too. I mean: nothing van beat the Wembley '73 version of Gimme Shelter, but the listen to the July 13, 1975 version: the phaser, the way Jagger belts the lyrics, Charlie's drumming: this might be the second best version ever.

For 75 I liked the LA shows and Toronto.

I'm not real wild about the 1975 Tumbling Dice. Also,I prefer Sympathy For The Devil in a 1970 version. The songs that I listed in my earlier post are the songs that I like to listen to most of the time when I play live CD's from '75 or '76.

The 1975 Tumbling Dice is as good as it gets for that track. 1972 comes a close 2nd.
I wish we had a true soundboard from the 1975 tour..

Buffalo (incomplete) and Detroit (incomplete and uninspired performance) are true soundboards.

For my money, the best Tumbling Dice of the '75 - '82 era was Detroit 1978.
