Didn't the Beatles also play there around the same time?...
It's hard for me to imagine any "current" bands today playing Carnegie Hall.

I saw Talking Heads there years ago... "Stop Making Sense" tour....
David Byrne's big suit. Is there a current band that they could/would book there?

EDIT:

From Carnegie Hall Media Kit

Pop entertainers who have performed at Carnegie Hall include Josephine Baker, Judy Garland, Ethel Merman, Nat King Cole, Lena Horne, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, and Tony Bennett. In 1964, The Beatles made their New York concert debut (their third live appearance in the US) at Carnegie Hall. They were followed by The Rolling Stones that same year and, through the years, by The Doors, Elton John, David Bowie, Sting, James Taylor, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, and Randy Newman.

None that I can think of, but ask a teenager and you'll get a list the length of your arm!

One of their best venues is here:

My house.

I'll have to post a pic from more recent gigs...but this one is from the old days...perhaps Brian's final gig? One of the last anyway...if you truly believe those "Brian is dead" conspiracy tales...

Not exactly a photo, but someone has posted this video clip from a rather peculiar Italian film which was made in the late 60s. Heaven only knows what it's about, but this bit shows the bridge to Eel Pie Island and the inside of the Island Hotel, complete with a cast of 60s art students. No sound, so don't imagine there's something wrong with your PC.

hello everybody, sorry if I restore this topic, but on RollingStonesItalia Forum I've ordered the most rapresentative "Stones venue places" by nation (Italy, UK, Europe, USA and Rest of the World) following this idea...
Thanks for this great topic again!

The Freekin Rosebowl, that place is TOOOO HUGE!!!
Try walking around that freeking place after a show, looking for the freeking limo (1/4000 black limos)

Just a ridiculous place (for most in attendance) to see a concert,

Palaeur in Rome. I don 't think it was called Palaeur; it was always the Palasport. Unless in that year 67, which was before my time, there was another venue out there. I wish I had been around to see them in 67...
This is a good thread; had never seen it.
