er ... that was the first-ever Stones gig in mainland Europe apart from the april 20th 1964 Montreux TV festival.
they played Wales and Scotland in 1963, the US in june 64 and Ireland in july 64.

Speaking of which, Ulster Hall, Belfast - scene of a mega riot on 31/7/64 which saw the concert abandoned after eight minutes.

Also the venue where Led Zeppelin first played "Stairway to heaven" in concert.

Re The Forum in Inglewood, California, we always just referred to it and still do as "The Forum." Many of us got a great education there through the years!

It is presently owned by a black church that rents out the venue from time to time. As they did to the Stones in 2006.
