I´m going to Berlin definetely, unfortunately it´s impossible to attend the Shine A Light premiere.
If someone hears something thru the grapevine...

they'll do a short acoustic set and will release a live-CD next year on a one CD exclusive deal with sony.(to be proudly presented under the roof of the Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz, Berlin in 2009, to announce the biggest world tour they have ever done)

They will show up - probably with their wives - for the premiere, smile, some fast comments about the movie and Scorsese and that's basically it.

Not even sure a common party - Mick and Keith don't party too much together or say not at all...

He'll play at Dornbirn (Austria, near by Lake Of Konstanz), which is about 750 km distant from Berlin.

Oh, that's far from Vienna. Just saw on his website he's playing at the Porgy & Bess in Vienna on 2nd February.

Well, there will be a long (2hrs) opening gala before the actual screening of the opening movie. During this, several performers will perform.
The festivals manager, Mr Dieter Kosslick, is very good in persuading people...he's a cool cat, and if anybody would be able to persuade Mick to perform it might be him (in alliance with Scorsese).
I know that they reserved a spot for them for a soundcheck and during the opening ceremony (which will be broadcast live), but I doubt that we (and Mr Kosslick) will know if they play or not until the very last minute.
I got this info from a friend who is part of the production crew for the opening gala. I hope he'll tell me more...but I cannot guarantee for that.

Red carpet and a nice picture in the papers next day.

Well, the Stones are not exactly the band for last-minute decisions concerning surprise appearances. They need some time for preparations. If nothing is decided at least a couple of days before the show, chances for a last-minute surprise appearance are close to nil.
