Including any Stones songs if you want to, but don't have to (as any non-Stones songs are also fine), what'd be the top 5 (or even top 10 if you want) songs by title and name of performer or group, you'd most want to play from your iPod (connected to some excellent external speakers) at a party you'd have with some friends (if you had to have one), while the world was coming to an end ?
The End - THE DOORS When The Music's Over - THE DOOR Five to One - THE DOORS Is That All There Is? PJ HARVEY Version It's All Over Now, Baby Blue - BOB DYLAN
....and then, when it was moments from the end and I was good and totally sh*tfaced and sobbing:
AMAZING GRACE
SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW
then....KA-BOOM and it would be all over....

No, seriously, my first thought is Let It Loose: THE BEST EVER comforting song... But then, wouldn't it be great to die rocking to Bye Bye Johnny, with the image of MicknKeef belting it out together at the mike?
gimme shelter is the ultimate "apocalypse-song" to me.
and if i want to end it in a dramatic and sad way it would be beethovens "moonlight sonata". other choices "moonligh-mile", "i see a darkness" (bonnie prince billie) or back to black (amy winehouse).
or maybe i'd put on something heavy and sarcastic like turbonegro "f.uck the world"
The trauma of impending death and the fear of having Beelzebub and all his demons sticking hot pokers up my rectum for all eternity would be eased significantly with the pleasure of knowing that this would be the last time I ever have to be subjected to it.

Not from my i-pod, but roaring from my hi fi: "Wild Horses", of course. No doubt about it. There's only one tune for big occations like that. And if the neighbours got pissed because of the loud music (again), I'd play "SFTD" at max volume and shout: -See if I care, suckers!

Unless subjecting the inhabitants of hell to Bon Jovi records is a popular method of torture...

Are you serious? Let It Loose? That's probably the most depressing, self-destructive song ever written by the Stones. And you think it's COMFORTING?
I would down a shot glass filled to the brim with LSD, jump out of a plane without a parachute at 50,000 ft (with a little bit of oxygen so I could make it through the trip down) and have my choice of a couple of songs:
- Cock In My Pocket - Stooges - My Idea of Fun - Stooges - Summertime Blues - The Black Keys - Street Fighting Man (Brussels) - Helter Skelter
or any gnarliness created by The White Stripes (Cannon, Death Letter, Red Bowling Ball Ruth, Stop Breaking Down, Little Bird, Blue Orchid, Black Math, etc.)

Man, Rubber Legs was a great album. In terms of intensity, it just about crushes everything, and it was only a rehearsal.
No More, No More - Aerosmith In My Time of Dying - Led Zeppelin It's All Over Now, Baby Blue - Dylan Death Trip - Stooges Morning Dew - The Dead Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
This is a great topic. I'm sure most of us could be entertained for hours mulling this over.
