I am sorry I baked you on the opening night of the 1792 tour. I was too excited.

Did you eat the olives or put them to one side?

Pizza should apologize to me because Im always tempted by it & most times when I eat it it gives me heart burn and I need to take Tums or alka seltzer.

Pizza rules!
Except with anchovies.
I think if you order anchovies, the pizza parlor
uses the opportunity to unload all they have that's
been sitting in the 'fridge for days/weeks.

Heilo's attempt at humor fell flat, but a good pizza needs no apologies, especially a homemade one. Thick, crunchy crust, with lots of cheese and Italian sausage (NO pepperoni, thank you), mushrooms, onions, olives, peppers (mix of jalapenos and mild), and fresh garlic. Anchovies optional (put 'em on the side). Forget the traditional ham/turkey Christmas dinner - lemme have one of these pizzas!

One has to remember Heilo took his first hit of the forerunner of LSD on the 1792 tour.

Pizza rules but one thing I've learned during my worldly travels is that the further you get from the New York/New Jersey area the worse the pizza gets. Forget that stuff from the West Coast with Pineapples and other garbage on it and forget that deep dish stuff in Chicago.

Papa John's is the best made in WV but the tomato sauce is a bit too sweet. Still prefer home-made. I told my wife, so we'll have one for New Year's Eve. OT hint: positive reinforcement DOES work.

Jalapenos (fresh, not out of the jar) and crushed red peppers (homegrown and homemade)

Bassplayer, next time you're in Ski-attle I'll buy ya a pizza. Not a cold Italian pizza, but a hot Pagliacci pizza.

The first night of the 1792 tour was majik, pure majik.

First time I ate pizza - aged 5 - I threw the lot up on my pillow. I remember the olives winking at me.

See?? THIS is what I'm talking about! You make a pizza grouchy and it comes back to haunt you! I am not the only one who has made an enemy of a pizza once! Right before the Stones went into "Leprosy Dance 3" I could feel my stomach was gonna lose it!

Wrong again Frank my man !! NY Pizza has it's place as does deep dish Chicago Pizza but the BEST PIZZA in the world is in FRANCE... Very thin crust, excellent cheese, and I always get the ham and mushroom topping. You ask for the olive oil with the hot spices in the bottle and drip a bit on.... NOTHIN' BETTER ON THE PLANET !!!! West Coast - USA - Pizza rocks too (you just have to know where to find it - hehe) So, Sorry my dearest Pizza. We didn't know Frank was gonna chime in - SO SORRY !!!

I don't understand people who get worked up over the best Pizza. You throw some sausage and mushrooms on the thing, maybe some pepperoni if your so inclined and boom,ya got yourself a pie. No big mystery....I mean it's not rocket science. Now a good steak. That's something to take very seriously.

The best pizza is in France? Nah I don't buy that. Italy maybe. As a matter of fact it always helps when you pick a pizza parlor that has a guy with an Italian accent.

It's weird how they sometimes crack an egg on the pizza in France.

I actually HATE most NY pizza, as well as Chicago pizza. Most people probably just love what they're used to. Personally, I love Papa Ginos pizza best. THey have a new "rustic" pizza that is absolutely delicious. They put butter on the bottom of the crust and rub grated cheese on it before they make the pizza, it's SO good!

I have one pet peeve regarding pizza -- pepperoni is NOT a proper ingredient for a good pizza. Most of the recipes I see for authentic Italian pizzas are vegetarian.

The one and only original Ray's is good.
One of the best pizzas I had was in Ancona Italy, also had a cold Italian Pizza, who turned out to be a seducer and a lemon squeezer but after that, I almost turned into a monkey, go figure.
