Seems that most people on here are fans of ROCK ("without the roll" as Keith puts it)...

Off the top of my head, here are 10 of my favourite artists & my favourite albums of theirs:

The Rolling Stones - Between The Buttons
The Hollies - Evolution
The Pretty Things - Emotions
The Animals - Animalism
The Beatles - Revolver
The Who - A Quick One
The Kinks - Face To Face
The Yardbirds - Roger The Engineer
The Small Faces - Small Faces
Them - Them Again

I've always been intrigued by that brief 18 months or so between Beat & Psychedelia! smiling bouncing smiley

Haha!

I'm also a big fan of most of the early rockers (Chuck, Jerry Lee, early Elvis, etc), as well as Hank Williams & Howlin' Wolf & lots more, but I consider most of these to be more of singles artists; they've rarely made albums as satisfying as my list above imo.

well, truth be told, if another note of recorded music wasn't made after 1962 or so, i would still have 90% of the music i listen to on a regular basis. king oliver up through hard-bop of the early sixties and everything in between for those 4 decades gets me through most daze of listening.....
