O/T Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band,Belfast Odyssey,15th December 2007

Hi,

Not much to witter on about, thank goodness. These guys absolutely owned the 10000 people who were lucky enough to be here, and tickets were being touted on Ebay for stupid, stupid amounts.

Incredible high-energy stuff, with Bruce expecting and getting effort and reaction from the audience. There were no prisoners taken during the 2 hours 30 minutes either-plugged-in and BAM,BAM,BAM!

Next up-Wednesday's year closer at The O2.
Magic!

Cheers,

Si N.

Great photos. One of the best two or three shows I've ever seen by anyone.

One of those arms raised high down front in your 4th photo is almost certainly mine.

Was in Robinsons Friday night with a few folks who were over for the show, but on Saturday lunchtime I just went down to the venue at 1.30, got my wristband for the pit and hung around there all day.

Mopst of my pics were crappy, but this one with a cellphone didnt turn out so bad :

here's some YouTube clips of the show (not filmed by me!) :

I'm glad to see you loved the show. How did it compare for you to the 2003 RDS show, as I know that's the only Springsteen show we have in common?

I assume you're going to all 3 RDS shows in May? I'll see both Anaheim shows in April and possibly Seattle in March.

well..it was almost an hour shorter but there was less 'chaff'..no songs outstaying their welcome..they just get on with it. Performance wise every bit as good but having waited almost 30 years for a hometown ESB show, getting an indoor one and getting into the pit in the 3rd row made it a little extra special from a personal point of view.

I'll be at all three - yeah. Also Milan and maybe Paris a couple of days later.

Are you sure of that? With your short stature, I have my doubts, even with your arms raised!! lol

Great to hear of this for you, kind of like when the Stones came to Montana last year for the first time ever.

I am starting to think about seeing him somewhere nearby in a few months, got to check the tour schedule. If so, it would be the first time for me in 20 years -- saw him one time only at the Berkeley Community Theater in '78 -- no god!, yegads!, that would be 30 years!

Adrian - Sonic Dreamer was after your phone number last night. We all got lucky in a ticket drop last night and I think he had a little something for you. If you haven't heard from him yet, drop me an e-mail.

At home looking after the kids...as he said the other night "we have 3 teenagers - someone has to make sure the house doesnt burn down".

I read that they're college-hunting for their son, so I believe she's taking care of that. Soozie Tyrell is playing a bit more guitar and singing too and doing a good job of it, especially her duet on 'Magic'.

I attended the Paris show yesterday night. What a concert . The best one since 1981. The pleasure of playing from this immense band was an evidence. Archetype of universal rock. An elecrifying and electrified audience in a packed Bercy. Springsteen wore a Christmas hat at the end : yes, it was Xmas.

Can't say I'm going to miss Patti tomorrow - although I might have used her number for a piss 'n' beer break.

Hey Timber. Bruce is coming back to Norcal in April with shows in Sacramento and San Jose. Tickets go on sale in Jan. Yours truly will be there.

By the way.I have a bootleg of that Berkeley show. Great show.
