Can anyone inform me of what the possible ticket prices will range? And do you think there will be many stadium shows?

Maybe they will take turns opening and being the headliner with the Stones?

Tickets will only cost....my calculator doesn't go that high.

Ticket prices - VERY HIGH

Stadium shows? - Every single date will be played in the biggest possible venue.

If the Stones keep playing warhorses and smaller setlists they might be the opening act.

calm down, the L.Z. might mean Limp biZkit !!!

Or god forbid the Leyton buZZards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i said from the start it was allways a possible, all that rehearsing and overcoming the biggest obstacle " we'll NEVER play live" now that taboo is about to be broken, it allways a strong possibility.

The real L. Z. Never had an opening act past 1969 except for festivals and occasional special events.

Ditto that!

I came close to seeing them, though.
Had tickets too see them in '76.
Plant's son died shortly before the show and Zeppelin
never came back to my area.

If they tour, do not be mad at the band if tickets prices are high. All that means is that a promoter offered them an obscene guarantee.

I had tickets in my hand when Bonham died and the tour cancelled. Exchanged them for Peter Frampton at Rich Stadium. This was my first encounter with a ticket service charge thru promoter called Festival East. After the tour cancelled, Festival East refused to refund the service charge which at the time we felt they should.

when i first saw them, they WERE the opening act...
just as an aside bluzDude, you were obviously hip to the band during that period...
btw, they killed. they were promoting the first album and they pounded and soared and surprised and totally won over The Who crowd...
the ovation was so long and demanding and deafening...
i've tried to tell this story here before cause it really impressed me.

The Who waited an extra long time for things to calm down a bit before they hit the stage; only things never really calmed down that much!!
The Who gets introduced finally....

....Pete comes onstage, guitar hanging around his neck, hands clapping loud in applause...he walks directly over to the lead mike center stage and screams into the mike, "Led Zeppelin!" and gives the crowd one more chance to vent...

a brilliant move...and a generous one.
but what else could he do? I think I saw a lot of the class and generosity of spirit that's deep in Pete that night; he seemed sincere and was proud to have been knocked out by zep's set...and mebbe even, to provide a significant promo push for them on zep's first tour over...

eventually The Who started their set and things calmed down...and then slowly, and this is truly a magnificent feat of control and power, a feat of brilliance beyond the telling...

...cause The Who ratcheted up the tension and release and power and majesty of Tommy, and some others...Moon was ready to go if you know what i mean...he was an explosion all by himself...i think hearing bonham must've made him REALLY ready to go out there and kick the shit out of the kit...
...and the energy went thru the sky again...
good thing this was outdoors; i don't think so much energy and volume could have been contained by a modern structure....
there's mah zep tour memory.

oh yeh, at one point, they lit into "hello mary lou, goodbye heart"!!! page biting real clean and super like an impossibly loud BUT CLEAN pickin' james burton or something
and that song alone endeared them to me forever...
the rest of the set...even the great communication breakdown...and the stuff with the violin bow and histrionic theatrics; all that aside...very memorable, very powerful...but funny, all these years later...i remember the show pretty well, and it's still 'hello marylou goodbye heart' that really made me love them, and trust they were coming from a very deep and real vein.

Great story Beelyboy....I don't know if it's true but I heard that Pete wanted them off the tour because of incidents like that. Do you know if that was true?

The First time I saw Zep was in March, 1970 in what I believe was their first US tour with no opening act. I know they toured in August 1969 with Jethro Tull, but I didn't see that one.

If they tour, I hope that the do big GA venues to give all the younger fans a chance to see them. Should keep the prices low (ish).

My 12 yr old son and his friends all listen to Zepplin as well as their "mosher" bands. Of course,at 42,I've never seen them either and would welcome ANY dates ..........HERE'S HOPING !

Astbury referred to their being on a "big tour in 2008" on Tuesday night in Detroit though he didn't mention the "L.Z." bit. I'm seeing The Cult tonight in my town, their third show since he allegedly let the cat out of the bag. I'll report to you all whether he mentions it or not.

Hope Led Zeppelin tour in 2008!

And I'll hope they tour also in the center of Europe, because I would also like to see them! Maybe their support-act in Europe could be Van Halen with David Lee Roth?

An oldies but goldies tour on a bigger scale with 70s music....
Suggested supports: Smokie, The Sweet, Suzie Quatro, Uriah Heep, Grand Funk Railroad, Slade......Bonham is rolling in his grave.

Ian mentioned nothing during the show last night but may well have done so before the 2nd encore song. I don't know as we had to leave because of the kid sitter's curfew. I'll find out.

T'would appear Ian Astbury tips more than his share before appearing onstage so perhaps that's how he let the cat out of the bag.

DAMN but the CULT were good! This w/be a helluva a double-bill if it actually came to fruition. I must say, I don't recall Zep appearances back in the day, here in the States anyway, employing ANY openers unless it was a festival.

There are already reports of Zep having been guaranteed $3 million per show. Tickets would have to AVERAGE at least $150 just to cover the guarantee.

Probably run something like this:

Good seat: $500
Pretty good to pretty bad: $325
Pretty bad to pretty terrible: $175
Nosebleeds: $100
T-shirt: $50
