I'll start by saying Im glad he marched to save a hospital, he looked happy, his music has inspired us all and he's KEITH!
But Keith has without a doubt inherrited Berts belly, Keef looked huge in that photo, I thought back to picture of Keith with his dad (Bert)..
When they hit the road again we might be seeing Keith play from a stool.
Which I think would be great!

I don't have a problem with his looks,but i certainly prefer him without the belly.

He did look rather tubby when I saw him at Nijmegen, and his all-around physical nature wasn't quite right.
Nevertheless, it was a great show.

It is four days shy of a year since I saw the Stones
last in Boise, Idaho, and Keith's gut was obvious
then, even with all the black he was wearing.

This ain't nothin' new.

He's always equipped with a belly in-between tours & in the
beginning of the tours as well.
And the man is soon 64; give him a break.
It aint fair to compare him with Michael-the-gym-teacher's-son.

Yeah of course,he'll be 64 I just liked that all the Stones despite their age were so thin

He's got a drinker's gut. His arms and upper body are totally skinny...probably not eating great, and drinking too much, and smoking...all gives you the drinker's belly.
BUT who cares!!! He's our keith and still rocks!

Sure as hell he's eatin' great.. Shepherd's Pie, doesnt he? ;O)

how does smoking contribute to the belly?

for me the belly is still something new, i don´t remember that in between tours belly to always has been there. i don´t really like how it looks, though i don´t really care as long as he can play. nonetheless some worries should be allowed.

It must have appeared somewhere in summer last year. Compare Keith from Rio DVD and Austin DVD. He changed a lot in a couple of months. And it's not only the belly.

Maybe he was wearing a corsage at the pc at juliard school.
Have a look at the rehaersals, 2-3 Days before, there you can see his belly.
But with or without belly--- he is Keef and that´s important!

One could see very clearly his magnificent belly. Alas this pic is a frontal one;
but he moved back & forth onstage, for example when some brilliant
jorunalist asked then (at the pc) about if money was their main inspiration.
