No, but it is shameful that he is not in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame...

I saw Mott The Hoople in 1971 at the Weely festival, they played in the middle of the night, in those days the festivals were non stop, they were on the bill with the Faces and T-rex

I was there! Ian brilliant as ever. A couple of Hooples (Mick and Verden) joined him on stage as did Chris Spedding and Jesse malin. What a night. The only drag was not getting home until four hours before I had to get up for work.

Ian is 68 and is still making good new music. Top man.

I've seen Ian Hunter three times in the past couple of years, including a free performance at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. Great show each and every time.

Wow! I was a HUGE Mott the Hoople fan and, honestly, I didn't even realize Ian Hunter was still playing. And, it looks like he's been in my neck of the woods a few times in the past year or so. I must've been...preoccupied with...some other band. I hope he comes around here again; I'd love to see him.

Didn't see the London show but was at the Southampton show on Friday. The show was superb. His material ranged from Mott right through - plenty of stuff from last two albums Rant and shrunken heads mixed in with old classics - great stuff and long may he continue to do it because he is a great songwriter and performer. Got to mention Jesse Mallin as well who was superb as the opener and really got a response from the crowd...I will definately catch him again when he is headlining, his new album glitter in the gutter sounds excellent.

Back to Hunter, openg is right, how come he aint in the RNR hall of fame..

definitely go see Ian... a top-notch rocker you don't have to sit in a stadium to see play.

That's great to hear. Usually, once you've been in Ringo's all starr band, it's pretty much over for you.

I love "All the Young Dudes" "Mott" and "The Hoople". Never bought the earlier stuff. I think his live album "Welcome to the Joint?" or something like that, is great as well.

Hunter's brilliant! And yes, "Michael Picasso" - the Mick Ronson trubute - still brings tears to my eyes. The two of them made wonderfull music together. And there are lots of people who still miss Ronson, who died of liver cancer in 91/92. He was a gem.
