Is Hand Of Faith a gospel remix? I gotta hear that!

My picks:
Hand Of Fate
Hide Your Love

All blues based and thats when the Stones hit on all cylinders!

Hand Of Faith, no doubt. More intersting riff ,cooler guitar sound, superb vocals and goosbump guitarsolos. Enough said? Lyrics? All over sound? HoF is one of me fav Stones songs from the 70s.

It's "Hand Of Fate" darlings.

I laughed out loud when I read MunichHilton's post about the gospel remix.

studio, hand of faith is better.

Live I like star star better in the 70s but on the four flicks dvd HOF is better than star start.

HOF on 4 Flicks ought to be better, because, if I recall right, it had to be completely over-dubbed because the band screwed it up so bad. I refer to the Olympia 2003 gig as "Band of Sh%t," because to me, it was about the worst performance of the band I can recall. I am sure it was fun being there, but OW! on all the mistakes, blown lines, and bum chords....

Hand Of Fate
100 Years
S & C

All of the songs paired up are of a similar quality to the ones they're paired against.

Hand of Fate on the '02/'03 tour was an example of a song that seemed to get worse the more they played it (the '02 versions sound better to me than the '03 versions, the Wiltern version in particular,if I recall,is solid),the opposite of Sway on the ABB tour which they improved on the more they played it.

The two songs with the most mistakes at the Olympia '03 were Hand Of Fate and No Expectations which were much better at the next theater show in Sweden but at that show they had problems with Stray Cat Blues.

hmm... I i havent heard HOF in a long time from four flicks, so I cant say much about overdubs. I do remember mick messing up the lyrics on a little bit, but that doesnt really put a damper on my parade. theres some really great moments on that version. I mean, all I know is that I enjoyed it thouroughly, thats all I can say.

Hand Of Faith studio version is the better one. Star Star is better than HOF live IMO.

I've always had a soft spot for Hot Stuff, even though I really like 100 Years Ago. Can't understand why they skipped it from the setlist. The 1973 live version was great.

Hand og fate and Star star are both great songs.

same for, 100 years ago/ hot stuff.
one more... short and curlies/hide your love.

These are strange comparisons to me. very different songs, and it all depends on what mood I'm in.

As far as HoF from Olympia, I have never been as surprised as when it appeared on the DVD. It was a total meww at the show. I was right in front of keith, and he didn't have a clue about the chords, and still they get a decent version on the DVD out of it. But listen to the very loud percussion in the middle part of the song. They cover a lot of missing guitar parts there... :-)

I don't know. That's tough to say after listening to Frankfurt '76 Hand Of Fate or even some of the better versions from the Licks Tour club shows.
